Richard Chang's Online Review Report Card

I went to him for a second opinion regarding a diagnosis given to me by my regular cardiologist of which scared me. He confirmed the diagnosis. He also was able to reduce my stress with his explanations. Now I don't preoccupy over it. Al. Gomes

I found Dr. Chang when I moved from TX to NJ. I have been seeing him for two years. He has treated me for my wrist injury. He is very thorough with his visits and asked me a lot of questions and explains everything very well. He does not rush the appointment. I felt very comfortable during and after the visit.

Absolutely the best Doctor ever! My husband needed to see a cardiologist and after reading Dr Chang's reviews though he would be a good start in looking for one. He is the best, great bedside manner, talented, knows whats needed to resolve issues. Quick responses by him and his staff. I wish all doctors could be as wonderful as he is and conduct their businesses the same way he does. We are very grateful to have found him.

Would rate 0 star if possible. Waste of a doctor - saw him based on the good reviews here:- Prejudiced in his assessment- Inaccessible: Meets you with one leg out of the door. Always in hurry. Not interested in taking/answering your questions/concerns- Unresponsive: No followup what so ever (even for read out of your test results). You have to keep calling and hope to hear a noted answer occasionally if you are lucky or get to hear from her his assistant if extremely lucky. So no way for the patient to discuss concerns/options/next steps.- Superficial : Not interested in getting to the root of your problem. - Irresponsible: Checks his area of prejudice and bails out on you without guiding you on the next steps.

Dr change has been very straight forward and explains everything well. It’s also comforting to see your surgeon with a big smile and enthused to perform surgery first thing in the morning!

Every time I come to his office I know I’ll be there at least 2.5 hours. 2 just for waiting in and out of the actual office and a half hour just for the actual appt. He is very fast to a detriment, doesn’t really listen go or answer questions right, but is very smart and knows what he’s doing.

Dr. Chang has been my cardiologist for 6 years since we moved to the East Bay and he has been very caring along with a sense of humor. He always made me feel calm. I had several visits to the hospital for my heart issues and was taken cared of with his recommendations. I believe if we had not moved from the East Bay area he would still be my doctor of choice...

Dr Richard Chang is a compassionate and highly experienced orthopedic surgeon. While friendly, knowledgeable and thorough, he always has time to listen to a patients concerns.

Dr Chang really helped Mark with his "heart flutter" issues that has really disrupted our lives and quality of life, due to the very high, rapid , pulse rate, that resulted in dizzy spells, and numerous falls.Because Dr Chang is so popular, and in high demand, we did have to wait a little , in order to get an appointment, for Dr Chang to evaluate Mark's heart condition.However, when we did get to see Dr Chang, he was very knowledgeable, thorough, and very easy to communicate with, and answered all of our questions and concerns, to both of our satisfaction. Even though, Dr Chang did have plans to have some time off in a week or so, he worked Mark in, and was able to schedule Mark for an electric cardioversion in just a few days. He gave Mark a followup appt in 10 days, and Mark is having very good results for this procedure. We both feel that Mark is in excellent hands, with Dr Chang as his Cardiologist, and really do appreciate all he has done for Mark.We can't say enough good about Dr Chang's staff, and all the staff and nurses that we came in contact with at both locations, at the 1450 Treat Blvd, John Muir Medical Bldg, and also at the Concord location at the Cardiovascular Institute on East St, where the electro cardioversion procedure was performed by Dr Chang.We certainly do feel very fortunate, that Mark had such a fine Cardiologist, as Dr Richard Chang.It will be four weeks since Mark has had the electrocardioversion procedure, and everything so far, is going quite well for Mark.Thank you for everything, Dr Chang and Staff.

Very nice doctor, Saw him once, but I needed another kind of doctor so he recommended someone else from the group and I was also satisfied with him.
