Unfortunately wound up here over Labor Day Weekend for an infection. Nurses were amazing - special shout out to Rachel from the overnight shift. I was taken care of, things were fairly efficient, and it was an overall positive experience (as far as these things go).
staying at home and dying is a better option than going here
Second time mistreatment of my father and disrespect to his family. This time letting us know he was discharged to no one, at a time undetermined.....only to find out he was admitted. WHO DOES THIS?
My dad & I waited in the ED for hours before they took him to the back. We were in the back even longer before a Dr. had seen him.
This hospital is just awful ! Drom my own experience to my girlfriends most recent, when they wouldnt give her the meds she needs being a kidney transplant patient to misdiagnosing another problem to bringing her moldy food for breakfast !! Absolutely unacceptable for a healthcare place . You need to do much much better ! From how on well drive the extra and go to robert wood
Ridiculous wait time for iv fluids. No one saw me for over 4 hours of waiting
This particular review is about today's experience with the HMC Emergency Room. All of our doctors are part of the Hunterdon Healthcare system. We have had several procedures successfully performed at HMC. Today's experience was not successful. It started off well as my wife was seen quickly by the triage nurse as she was short of breath following a fall at home. The triage nurse expressed concern that my wife could have broken a rib. Despite the concern she was returned to the ER waiting room. No mention of a timeframe for follow-up care, perhaps an x-ray. She sat in agony for over an hour. Nobody checked on her, provided any update about forthcoming care, etc. I had to wait outside (90+ degrees today) due to I assume COVID-related restrictions. So we had no choice but to leave without getting any further care as she could not keep sitting there with no idea when care might happen. Something is not right here as I personally saw several people exit after care completion and no new patients arrive yet my wife remained in the waiting area. We certainly did not expect "instant care" as we know ERs do get busy, but when someone is in this type of condition you need to at least check on them and also inform about a timetable for care. Very disappointing as our prior experiences at HMC overall have been good.
Dr. Grimes was thorough, compassionate, listened to my concerns, answered my questions and genuinely didn't rush. For once, I didn't have to fight to get a thorough assessment and didn't have to deal with my symptoms being dismissed. The entire team for the most part, especially the CNA equivalent, were kind and attentive.
I came to the emergency room with a stabbing pain in my chest and in less than 5 minutes I was in a room. Outstanding bedside manner and care by nurses and doctor. She even recommended I get my Shunt line looked at from my xray👍👍HMC
Incredible nurses, great doctors, top notch care. I went there for my obstetrics care and for labor and delivery. 10/10 would recommend and would never go someplace else.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
