List of Todd W. Flannery's Reviews
Today is a very happy and emotional day for me and my family. Almost three months ago I was told I needed to begin radiation treatment for prostate cancer. My daughter made an appointment with the Cancer Center at St. Mary Medical Center. It was a scary time but I must say from the minute I walked into the center and met the TEAM and Dr. Flannery, I was completely at ease. The second you walk in the door you are greeted by a friendly smile by everyone there – receptionist, nurses, technicians and physicians. My treatment plan was 44 radiation treatments, Monday-Friday for 9 weeks. What seemed like a time consuming plan was definitely not. The team works like a well oil machine. They are timely, efficient and most of all caring and compassionate. No waiting around, you are in and out and on with your day. I must express my utmost gratitude in my physician, Dr. Flannery. He was so attentive and listened to my fears about this cancer. He provided me the best treatment plan and consulted with all of my physicians – urologist, PCP and cardiologist – so I could have the best treatment and outcome for ME. He took the time to call and check upon me as I began this journey. He was compassionate and always willing to explain every step, answer questions from myself and my family. He explained things in terms me and my family could understand. It is treatment 44 and a bittersweet day. I have made new friends on this journey and have always felt comfortable and cared for by everyone. Cancer is a nasty disease but Dr. Flannery and the team and St. Mary Cancer Center make it a positive experience. Thank you seems too minimal for my gratitude and appreciation I feel today! Today I am surrounded by my family, friends and care team as I ring the bell to signify the completion of my treatment and it is the greatest feeling in the world!
I brought my wife to HMC for abdominal pain she was experiencing...I was very impressed with the ER staff and the ER Dr....the nurses and technicians were very professional and understanding...it turns out my wife was experiencing appendicitis and needed an operation...Dr. Allard took very good care of my wife...I would highly recommend HMC any day!....Thank you for all your assistance and caring with my wife's situation!!
This hospital is just awful ! Drom my own experience to my girlfriends most recent, when they wouldnt give her the meds she needs being a kidney transplant patient to misdiagnosing another problem to bringing her moldy food for breakfast !! Absolutely unacceptable for a healthcare place . You need to do much much better ! From how on well drive the extra and go to robert wood
This particular review is about today's experience with the HMC Emergency Room. All of our doctors are part of the Hunterdon Healthcare system. We have had several procedures successfully performed at HMC. Today's experience was not successful. It started off well as my wife was seen quickly by the triage nurse as she was short of breath following a fall at home. The triage nurse expressed concern that my wife could have broken a rib. Despite the concern she was returned to the ER waiting room. No mention of a timeframe for follow-up care, perhaps an x-ray. She sat in agony for over an hour. Nobody checked on her, provided any update about forthcoming care, etc. I had to wait outside (90+ degrees today) due to I assume COVID-related restrictions. So we had no choice but to leave without getting any further care as she could not keep sitting there with no idea when care might happen. Something is not right here as I personally saw several people exit after care completion and no new patients arrive yet my wife remained in the waiting area. We certainly did not expect "instant care" as we know ERs do get busy, but when someone is in this type of condition you need to at least check on them and also inform about a timetable for care. Very disappointing as our prior experiences at HMC overall have been good.
Came here by Ambulance. From.begining, during, and discharge, the care I received across the board was 10 Stars. Nurses on 5 South were compassionate, caring and had so much empathy. Not only for me, I got to see how other were treated. I'm greatful for getting a prognosis for my conditions and feel more hopeful than when I arrived.
This was the worst experience at any hospital I have ever had absolutely horrible staff extremely rude DO NOT GO THERE they need to be reported and fired. I called about myFATHER to check on his status after going into the EMERGENCY ROOM for severe pain in his lower left abdomen because he didn’t have his phone on him to contact me and I had been FORCED TO GO OUTSIDE by the DISGUSTING lady yelling at me that my brother was under 18 and that ME AND MY BROTHER COULD NOT WAIT IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR OUR FATHER TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH HIM. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital I’m going to make a report to corporate or find a way to actually take action please help at least by never going to this hospital ever.
So in short HMC is pretty much like Newark Airport said f' it lets open a hospital! Every wonder what its like to receive care in rural Venezuela, well wonder no more my friend, no need to travel to have this wonderful experience! simply visit HMC. This hospital has taken dehumanization and substandard care to new levels. Should you have the misfortune to land here be prepared to be treated like an animal and deal with a system designed to strip you of your dignity and basic humanity at every turn. It's not even worth it going in to the specifics of what happened to me here. Just trust me and run from this place at all costs. You will be luck to survive a visit here and you will definitely need counseling after your time at HMC ( and a trip to a real doctor)
Never in my life hAve i ever been denied care . Im 26years old with lupus and a bleeding disorder , i was throwing up for hours and in pain in my jaw from an abscess which is now infected ! I was told by the doctors that will not treat my pain because i came in for nausea, the nurse kicked my bf out for trying to calm me down . I will NEVER IN MY LIFE GO HERE EVER AGAIN THE BOARD NEWS 12 everyone will here my story !
All of my doctors are a part of the Hunterdon Medical Group family so this review is in no way about them - The staff was phenomenal, from Vanessa in the ER, to the people working the inpatient process, to my Cardiologist. However, once I met the anesthesiologist Lourdes Maldonado Viera, ( Lorie Viera on the Hunterdon Medical Website) that quickly changed. Her bedside manner and lack of compassion was absolutely repugnant. She insisted I only speak in English since this is America ( which surprised me as she is also a latina) She in a nutshell told me that I was horrible and irresponsible for not having my Covid Vaccine. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being frank and a straight shooter with people, however I felt like her bedside manner and her timing was completely inappropriate seeing as how I was literally minutes away from going through a major surgery. Sadly, this was enough for me to not want to return back to this hospital, if only to avoid her as being my anesthesiologist. She made me feel very uncomfortable and I left almost in tears from the frustration that I felt. Hunterdon Medical, please do better.
I had a nurse listen to my conversation About politics with a patent that I was visiting. As I was leaving she felt inclined to educate me on how Vaccines are bad, and Putin isn’t doing anything wrong violating the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine. This person is a victim of misinformation, I can only imagine how their ignorance translates to there profession. I recommend any Ukrainians take there medical needs elsewhere, it’s a red county, most likely more imperialist apologists. Slava Ukraini!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
