List of Ummi K. Khan's Reviews
One of the best doctors I have ever had and I have had many.
If you want a doctor who truly cares for her patients and is brilliant, she is the one. I don’t understand how ignorant and stupid some people are. Whenever they have to pay anything which is usually because of their deductibles they go crazy and blame the doctor. How about checking your own insurances and benefits. How about looking at your insurance statements. Sorry to inform some of you that your healthcare is not free just because you have insurance. If you have a deductible or if your insurance covers only a percentage of your healthcare, don’t blame the doctors when you get a bill. They are not getting paid till you meet your deductibles. Blame the insurance companies who are getting richer and paying millions to their executives for denying medications and tests.
My family and I can't thank her enough for diagnosing me with why I was sick for years. I saw gastro doctors in NY and NJ for many years. I started to feel that it was really in my head. I cried that day when she told me that my being sick was for a valid reason. I finally had a diagnosis. And my condition was not even a gastro condition. She saved my life and my sanity!
She is an amazing caring loving outstanding doctor
Dr Khan is amazing. However, be weary of her office staff, especially the manager. If you have any issue, the manager will avoid all your calls and refuse to return them. Very unprofessional. Also by weary of the "refundable deposit" they will charge you for procedure. Good luck ever seeing that again. Due to the ordeal I have gone through with them for 4 months now, i would recommend going spmehwere else.
I have known Dr. Khan for 11 years and she is an excellent doctor. She prioritizes her patients first and gives them 100% care. I highly recommend Dr. Khan!
Excellent. Very helpful and kind. No issues with bedside manners.
I found Dr. Khan to be arrogant. She had poor bedside manner, and then wondered why I was so difficult to talk to. I left her office feeling degraded. The office staff was nice but unorganized. I told them my maiden name and previous doctors when I made the appointment. The day before, I received a call asking for my doctors' names, so again I gave them the information. At the appointment, they said my doctors had no record of me (they didn't give them my maiden name.) After I left my appointment, they called me back to the office for a prescription. Once I returned, they made me wait to tell me they forwarded the prescription to my pharmacy.
She is the best of the best. I read the reviews and selected her after so many doctors failed me. The staff is excellent. I was called and told that because of my very high deductible the doctor recommended a test that was covered. I knew that I needed to bite the bullet because I needed a Colonoscopy. Then when I saw the EOB after the Colonoscopy I cried. She got $140 while $$$$ went to cover other expenses. She saved my life.
Simply amazing. I am an educated consumer with brains and I work in Finance. I researched hundreds of gastroenterologists in NY and NJ and read the reviews "their patients" posted. I analyzed this further. And then it dawned upon me how easy it was to post a review and that if you worked in a big medical group how easy it must be to endorse your colleagues on the internet, and more so how the sadly petty people who have to pay out of pocket to their doctors will waste no time smearing them. I chose Dr. Khan who is in solo practice for years. I met with her. She sat down and talked to me like a human being who truly cares. She answered all my questions and concerns. We even joked and laughed. So I took the liberty to tell her that I had researched her. She smiled. And then I told her that I read her reviews. And that the negative ones were by patients who got a bill or had to pay something for their tests. She smiled again and told me "Please as a patient look at your insurance statements. You will be surprised at what the doctor gets paid". Today, I got my statement in mail. I had an endoscopy. She got paid $98. The entire payment by my insurance company for the hospital and other doctors totaled $4857. I actually cried today. I can only imagine what she got paid for spending so much time with me when I met her in her office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
