Jake E. Ritt's Online Review Report Card

I consulted with Dr. Ritt after suffering from multiple incidents where suddenly and seemingly without reason, joints would swell and be overtaken by inflammation to the point where they were immobile over the course of a few months. I also explained that I had been having stomach issues for about six months or so at that time. He did not run or order any tests and sent me on my way assuring me that I did not need a rhematologist and that I was "fine" although he ordered an xray for some inexplicable reason. That was in January. A few days ago, my knee swelled up so badly that I could not bear weight on it and I generally felt exhausted and unwell. My primary care doctor ordered a complete blood panel. All indicators for Lyme Disease are off the charts. A rheumatologist treats Lyme Disease. It is hard to imagine how he (a rheumatologist) missed tell-tale signs of a rheumatological response/Lyne Disease or why he felt that he could discern that I was fine by simply looking at me. I caution people to make their choices carefully when considering whether they want to consult with Dr. Ritt. I could have saved myself months of medical issues and discomfort by consulting with someone competent. Indeed, the progression of the Lyme could have been stopped six months ago had Dr. Ritt bothered to actually listen, consider my symptoms, or even ran tests to see if his gut feeling about my health was even remotely accurate...PS: it was not. I could have gotten a better medical diagnosis from a Magic Eight Ball.

I was referred to Dr. Ritt through my Primary Care Physician's office. I did read the reviews on Google prior to my appointment and was a bit fearful of having the same experience. HOWEVER, these reviews did not at all describe my experience with Dr. Ritt. He was friendly to me and I felt comfortable disclosing personal information to him. He asked me a lot of questions so he could help me in the best way possible. Dr. Ritt came off to me as nothing more than an experienced, compassionate, and helpful physician. I was sent directly downstairs to get xrays and bloodwork from his office and I received an online follow-up already. The office staff was also helpful and friendly. I recommend Dr. Ritt for his professionalism and his compassion.

Dr ritt is incompetent and awful at his job. He did nothing to help me and even though i am suffering he did not test me for the appropriate tests. I have no idea where this guy went to medical school , but that place should shut down. Thankfully I went to another doctor who did a much better job. I would advise everybody with rheumatic disease to avoid this guy!

I went to Dr Rhitt 4 years ago. At that time I thought he was caring and very nice. He told me to come back if I ever got symptoms. I went back recently and I couldn’t believe how he treated me. I couldn’t even finish a sentence without him cutting in saying how there’s nothing he could help with and my issues are non specific symptoms. He tried talking me out of bloodwork because I did it four years ago and at that time was all negative besides my ANA even though it can change in time. I was even told if things came back positive he still would not treat me! I walked out in tears to say the least. I unfortunately will not be back to this Dr. Extremely upsetting to have a doctor speak down to you and dismiss your feelings and concerns.

I have been seeing Dr. Ritt for several years now. He has been a great doctor for me. Always on time. Listens closely to my concerns. Does not take a shotgun approach to testing like other docs I've had. Staff in FP is very nice and helpful too.

Talked down to and dismissively for 15 minutes by a narcissist and charged $1,100 for the pleasure. Never again.

Very buttoned up! I was very impressed with the amount of time he spent going through my medical history. He also went through my case and explained my diagnosis and immediately scheduled follow up tests to confirm it.

Read the other reviews “Daniel Meaney” I m not the only one. It s ok, I found a Dr willing to do blood work and their job. Interesting word “fragile” sounds like something a misogynist would say. I see why you’d get along with him.

Anne-Marie needs to get a grip she sounds very fragile - by the way Dr.Ritt It is one of the best rheumatologist you can find he's very smart and capable and he has done a wonderful job for me.

Rude, arrogant, and I will not be back. When I asked if my condition was common his response was “in this office it is” in which I replied that was not what I was asking. Will not be back. This is where one wonders if his GPA matches the low rating on this site. It is dangerous to be in this doctor’s care.
