I have seen D. Byrd for a few problems over the last several years. My wife had seen him after her doctor in NY passed away and he was trained by the previous doctor that my wife had been to. He is very good and and knows his business only 2nd to the doctor we had seen in NY. I trust his judgement and knowledge.

I saw Dr. Lawrence Byrd recently for a non emergency issue with my urinalysis. I was so impressed with everything about my appointment with Dr. Byrd. First off, his front office workers are cordial and professional, always a good sign as it indicates that employees feel valued and like their work. Secondly, Dr. Byrd's "bedside manner", a term not much used these days, is exceptional. He is warm, kind and approachable. He takes the time to make you feel important as a patient, no matter how minor or serious your medical issue. Dr. Byrd never let on that he has a busy schedule and perhaps sicker patients to attend to -- For the time that he was with me I felt that my health was of importance to him. Dr. Byrd is thoughtful and does not make snap judgments or diagnoses. He thinks before he speaks. You can sort of see the wheels turning in his obviously skilled experienced mind. In short, Dr. Byrd is the Real Thing -- an old style doctor from a lost generation who knows his stuff!

Dr Byrd came highly recommended by my cardiologist to care for my hypertension and diabetic risk of kidney issues. Dr Byrd was immediately able to successfully pharmaceutically control my issues

Dr. Byrd has been managing my blood pressure for over 5 years and he has provided me with excellent care. Although I have an excellent primary care physician, I leave the blood pressure in his hands and I've been without problems or incident. Thank you Dr. Byrd.

Dr. Byrd is an intelligent, highly skilled,compassionate, kind doctor. I was so sick for so long and finally in one visit and some testing he knew exactly what to do. Dr. Byrd promised me I would be feeling a whole lot better and he was right. I am so blessed and grateful to have been referred to him. What can you say about someone who gives you your life back? God bless him.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Byrd. I have been having issues controlling my blood pressure for the first time ever since January. Dr. Byrd spent a great deal of time with me, reviewed all of the tests I had completed prescribed by my other doctors prior to seeing him, answered all of my questions and listened to my concerns. He is a very patient, knowledgeable and caring man. I feel fortunate to have been referred to him. I highly recommend Dr. Byrd to anyone who is need of a Nephrologist.
