List of Marilyn A. Kubichek's Reviews
By far the worst customer experience I've ever had in my 30+ years. The office Manager, Dorothy, will literally SLAM the front door in your face, regardless if you have a young child who has fingers in the door. She will not answer questions nor will she show any ounce of empathy for the patient or their parents. The front desk employee will chuckle the whole time thinking the entire situation is funny (even though child coming in for eval is now close to tears), and the neurologist will pretend nothing happened and continue to treat the parent like garbage rushing the entire process just to get you back out the door. As of May 2023, the office insists on masks, sanitizer, and full-face shields, and still only let's one parent in with a child. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. This place is the bottom of the barrel.
Dr. Kubichek has been treating my son for ADHD for over seventeen years and I cannot speak highly enough about the care she has provided. Dr. Kubichek continues to ensure my son receives effective treatment for his disorder. She has been very flexible and accommodating with making adjustments to my sons treatment plan as needed. She responds to his concerns and is responsible for his positive academic progress. We are grateful for the care she has provided and we are very fortunate to have her as our son's neurologist.
My son has been with Dr Kubicheck for over a year now, he has made tremendous strides and we could not have done it without her help. She has been wonderful and the office is always willing to help out when needed. Thank you all.
I take my son to see Dr Kubichek and she has always been exceptional. I had stopped taking my son to her for about six years because he did not have anything going on that needed follow up and as soon as he had an issue recently she and her staff were beyond accommodating to get me in to see her for an emergency appointment. She really took her time to sit and talk with us and go over everything. Dr Kubichek put in the time and effort to address my son’s situation and made me feel comfortable when I left there. She is amazing!!!
My husband and I made several attempts to obtain our son's medical records, provided them with everything they required, including all documentation with an original signature, made several trips to their office to not only pay for his records, but this office NEVER provided us with copies, and refused to forward any copies to his new doctor. It was one excuse after another. After a long and frustrating battle, I then just asked for a refund and again it was a complete run around. I called the office when I was outside of their office....again, and they proceeded to keep me on hold for 5 minutes, hang up on me and then turn the lights off and acted as if they went to lunch. So no document, no refund and most importantly, no diagnostic for my son (why we switched doctors)!! Very poor management and very rude office manager. They are more concerned with the policies and procedures than helping parents helping their kids.
Worst Ever
Do not bring your children here. We have been going for many years and every year we wondered why we came back at all. You are not treated as people here. Disrespectful, rude, unpleasant, is just the beginning. Poor paperwork and billing mistakes, weird, strict unkind policies make you feel like all the doctor wants is more money. Find a more empathetic doctor that employs staff with more manners and congeniality.
Dr. Kubichek has many rules: pay before the visit, pay before records are sent, extra fees for using a credit card. Will not issue scripts beyond 30 days and requires visit for each renewal; even if the patient has been on the script, doing fine, and had lab checks, the MD will not issue a 90-day script. As to where the scripts are sent, patient economics and/or convenience is rebuffed. No eScripts. When our child had unwanted side effects from med change, was difficult to get the help we needed: No phone calls, no change in meds unless the MD can find a way to bill insurance. Never asked what our treatment goals were and always seemed agitated. My child was afraid to answer MD questions directly and whispered answers in my ear. MD is only financially motivated. We very much miss our prior neurologist (wonderful, but retired), who was collaborative, responsive, and never put unnecessary obstacles in the way of proper care. We do not recommend Dr. Kubichek.

It's STILL true, along with arrogant and indifferent. MD had us ask all the teachers to fill out evaluation forms to determine med change, but the office lost the forms and Kubichek made the med change anyway. Extremely difficult to work with, even when our child had unwanted side effects from med change, found it exceedingly difficult to get the help we needed: No phone calls, no change in meds unless the MD can find a way to bill insurance. It's all about booking as many visits/televisits $$$ as possible. Perhaps patient care is based upon insurance reimbursement levels? Dr. K never asked what our treatment goals were and always seemed agitated. My child was afraid to answer MD questions directly and whispered answers in my ear. Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
