I can’t recommend Dr. Sood high enough. In July of 2020 I had broken my knee - tibia plateau was crushed into 3 pieces and dropped almost an inch, a kind of trauma that requires a surgery - a metal plate goes in held by screws, otherwise the leg would never heal properly. With this kind of complexity, my primary care doctor felt strongly about the necessity of going to the Hospital of Special Surgeries in Manhattan, but we’re in the middle of the pandemic, and HSS wasn’t even returning my calls. Dr. Kayal at Kayal Orthopedic recommended Dr. Sood. I’ve arrived to the 1st appointment with him with a lot of uncertainty and concerns. Dr. Sood has an exceptional bedside manner, he comes in very well prepared, having explored your issue beforehand and ready to explain all details about the upcoming surgery. He spent a long time with me and managed to eleviate all my doubts. The operation went well, the recovery after any orthopedic surgery is not easy, but I didn’t have any complications. Now four months after the operation I am basically recovered, capable of performing the most of my daily activities- work, household duties, driving, taking my daily 3.5 miles walks, etc. without any assistance. I hope, with continuing physical therapy, to completely recover within a few months. Throughout the whole time I had regular follow ups with Dr. Sood, and he was always very professional, attentive, never in the rush, and overall made me confident that I will make a full recovery. When you are with Dr. Sood you know that you are in good hands. I’m wholeheartedly recommend him for all your orthopedic needs.
