I had an emergency surgery preformed by Dr. Seun Sowemimo 5 or 6 years previously for a hernia. I got lucky. He happened to be on call over that 4th of July holiday. Having had more than my share of surgeries and surgeons over the years, I hold him in high esteem. This past summer 2021 once again I was in need of a surgeon and asked for Dr Seun.I was introduced to Dr Jolita Auguste at 2am on a Sunday morning. She is a wonderful doctor. Dr. Auguste took time to explained everything she was going to do to help me. She was gentle, kind and answered any and all my questions. Always with a beautiful smile.The surgery was a bit more complicated than expected. She was there when I awoke, again as attentive as before, explaining all that had been done. I saw her every day that I was there at Centre State. I felt truly cared for and safe in her hands. She worked with me to get me home as soon as possible.I continued to see Dr Auguste almost every week for 2 months. Dr Auguste is a wonderful surgeon, a talented and caring human being. I am so grateful to her for all she has done for me.
