Poor beside manner, will not be going back!
True professional. Knows her subject very well and explains so well.Very caring and attentive.
I am 61 now; I had shoulder pain for 10+ years and was diagnosed with a torn labrum by Dr. Stacey Gallacher. I believed I had a window of opportunity during the COVID-19 stay-at-home mandates at the end of the summer in 2020 - now over a year ago. Working in NY and not getting home until 7PM normally, precluded any thought of shoulder surgery with the 6-week sling and the mandatory physical therapy (PT) involved. So after 5 weeks of preliminary (PT) I decided to set up an appointment with Dr. Gallagher. How did I pick her? I wanted someone with knowledge of the most recent techniques while still having a many years of clinical practice. When researching, I also discovered we both went to the same university and we were both springboard divers at one time. So I felt a bond immediately.I vowed to wait a year after surgery before writing this review because I wanted to be authentic and complete. A year+ later now, I can say the surgery Dr. Gallacher performed was text book perfect. So here are a few anecdotes to help someone like me who never had major surgery before. The doctor recommended pre-surgery PT; so be prepared for 3 - 4 weeks of PT BEFORE surgery 2 to 3 days a week for 1-hr sessions. This is a commitment to yourself so be diligent and don’t miss scheduled PT. If they said do 3 sets of 10 I did 4 sets.On surgery day, after passing COVID tests and getting screened for surgery with lab tests read by your general practitioner, it is early in the morning. Dr. Gallacher prescribed a particular sling that helps protect the procedure right after. Well I had forgotten that sling at home that frantic morning. The Orthopedic team had an alternate that same day and did not judge or blink an eye.I returned for 2 or three follow ups and was eventually told there wasn’t anything I could not do (throw/lift etc.).In my last visit I thanked Dr. Gallacher for her artistry and technique. Her entire staff loved her - it was so apparent and they loved their jobs. I felt that clearly. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I told Dr. Gallacher one other reason I chose her was that she will still be practicing when I will be in my 80’s and need that mobility that retirees desire! She laughed and said it would be good to see me for a 20-year follow up. She was easy to talk to and did not dismiss your input. I said I wanted to be her best patient and it all worked out. 3 entry points no scars and while under she ride some rotator cuff issues. I got real value!!

Dr Gallagher quickly, accurately and effectively diagnosed the arthritis in my shoulders. She gave me a steroid shot in each shoulder. I'm still in a bit of discomfort after 24 hours but I have experienced some relief already
I called at 8am and received a same day 11:00am appointment with Dr. Gallagher. I received emails just as they said I would. Filled them out and when I arrived at their offices at 10:30, I waited minimal time and was seen promptly. Dr. Gallagher was very knowledgeable and explained her diagnosis and my treatment options. On my way out I was given options for followup appointment and for PT. Just an overall very professional experience
I was referred to Stacey Gallagher by a friend and I am glad I was. I was in pain for months with my shoulder and couldn’t move my arm. Been to other doctors but after 6 months of the same story I decided to see Stacey Gallagher. Dr. Gallagher spent time with me, explained what was going on, answered any questions I had and went over my options. We choose which option was best together and followed it. I didn’t feel rushed and felt heard finally!!! Still not 100% because the condition takes time to heal but thanks to Dr. Gallagher I’m on my way! Thank you
Front desk receptionist was rude and dismissive. Dr spent very little time with my mother and basically said that very little can be done to help her
Very pleasant, professional. Very little wait time, appt was scheduled very quickly and at my convenience. Highly recommended!
The best! Easy, informative, efficient. A must go-to when looking for an orthopedist!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
