List of John J. Vaccaro's Reviews
First, visit and liked Dr. Vaccaro. He was easy to talk to. He was thorough and felt like he listened to me. I also appreciate his plan of action. His office was clean and modern and his staff was very nice and organized.
Apparently had an appointment before the office was open, tried to call to inform them that an accident ahead of me was making me a few minutes late to see if I could reschedule and got an answering service instead of the office. I arrived to be scolded by the front desk for my lateness and when I informed her that I tried to call she said, "Oh yea, our phones aren't open that early." I turned around and left. Please don't waste your time here, the doctor isn't that great to have to deal with staff like that. You can find better.
I had my first appointment with Dr. Vaccaro today. He was thorough and professional with an excellent bedside manner. I'm happy I ignored some of the negative reviews posted here and kept my appointment.
Very thorough and no nonsense. Will be very straight to the point. Highly recommend if you want someone who is going to tell you like it is.
Appointment was made a month in advance, no confirmation call or text sent. When we got there the receptionist stated we were late and that there is only a 15 minute grace period. We stated that we were not late as we were under the assumption the appointment was for 3:30 (which means we would be early) she said "No it is 3, you didn't show up" We asked if the doctor could still see us, and the answer was No right away without even trying to see if the doctor could still squeeze us in. We sat down and not 2 seconds later we were told No we can not be seen. We ft that the office staff did not care. It was a VERY unpleasant experience and I would NOT recommend going this office. They do NOT provide phone call reminders or try to help you in any way.
He was okay, listened to me but didn't really tell me anything conclusive. Summit as a service provider is terrible. I am glad my PCP is not connected to them. Made me fill out this whole dossier of invasive questions online then when I got there, gave me papers asking the same stuff again. Despite saying my visit was aftermath of COVID, they didn't write that on the paperwork so now I'm being charged for it.
The experience is the best every time I go to the neurology Dr office I been treated with a smile
Worst Experience with a doctor. Was rude, dismissive. Do not see him. He is a disgrace to the profession. I am a senior citizen with many health issues, brought in medical records. He refused to read. I had a terrible sinus migraine infection. No help at all. Was disrespectful to me. Never again. Also, was dishonest in Patient follow up; Said that I would not answer questions. Gave him my history of migraines. He didn't listen. Did not care. Shameful.
He has helped me whenever I had to go to the hospital. He even has changed or added to my medication to help me more. I definitely recommend him
Dr. Vaccaro diagnosed me with a serious illness but offered me no resources to deal with it, not even a brochure or a web site to visit. I recommend that if you are diagnosed with a serious neurological problem that you go to a Center of Excellence (there are three in Manhattan) where there are more resources available.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
