List of Ali I. Seckin's Reviews
The doctor appeared to be nice. He didn’t do any tests or anything to see how much pain I was in but maybe that wasn’t necessary. He wanted to give me an epidural which I agreed to but it would have to be approved by insurance which could take a week or two and the Dr stated he was waiting for a tax ID number so that may cause a delay so I asked if I’m the meantime I can get something for pain. Doctors these days are 100% cowards. They think everyone is a drug addict. He went and printed a report and came and said you been to three different pharmacies in 3 months. Yes I use CVS in Lodi but a few weeks ago I had a sinus infection and went to a late night AM/PM urgent care location at 10:30 pm and was given a scrip for antibiotics. The only CVS that was 24hrs was Fairlawn so I went for antibiotics then on vacation I had severe pain so I went to the ER. I told him to drug test me on the spot he refused and said take 2 hot showers. He saw my MRI pics and report. 3 herniated/bulging discs.
It's rare in today's world to find a doctor with excellent listening, diagnostic and technical skills who is also kind, caring, has a sense of humor and who truly wants to help his patients. Dr. Seckin has all of these qualities.
Great doctor very personable . A true professional in all aspects of his job.
I have seen him often for back and leg pain. He has treated me with injections without any ill effects and very helpful to treat my pain. He is an excellent physician with an outstanding bedside personality. The negative reviews are unjustified and inaccurate.
Dr Seckin is a consummate professional with high degrees of clinical skills and emotional intelligence. Having been a healthcare professional myself for many years, I can truly recommend Dr Seckin without hesitation. He is an excellent role model for the future of healthcare.
Wait time for my appt was over an hr. Then he refused to treat me without an MRI even though insurance continued to deny it... all the while I am in pain. When they finally scheduled me for injections they did not tell me I couldn't be on antibiotics so then my procedure had to be re-scheduled and pushed yet again. When I showed up for that appt I was told I should have gotten a phone call as they had to cancel all his appts that day.... still waiting. 2 days of work missed and no relief found.
As many pain management doctors are, this doctor is injection happy. He injected without getting imaging... little did he know he injected and caused serious issues with something that was there. Not to mention they should change the name of their "palliative care" center to cancer pain center because they dont take on patients with other SERIOUS conditions besides cancer no matter how much they preach how important palliative care is.
Dr. Seckin has a soft spoken demeanor and is very attentive. Takes his time with explanations, listening to patient’s concerns and answering questions. Impressed with his calculated diagnosis. Meeting with Dr. Seckin for the first time was a very pleasant experience.
I visited Dr. Seckin a few years ago. Over the course of two months, I received 3 epidurals. After the third unsuccessful epidural, I visited Dr. Se kin his office. He asked me how my "right" side was doing. I corrected him that my sciatic was down my "left" side. He then said it didn't matter which side he injected. When I told him I was still in a lot of pain, he dismissed me by saying, "I'm not giving you pain meds (I never asked for any) because I've got kids to send to college." I left feeling despondent that chronic pain was my fate. I then went to a doctor in NYC. I had a completely different experience and am now pain free. Together, through trial and error, the new doctor and I discovered that the source of my sciatica was my SI joint. I also want to add that Dr. Seckin's epidurals procedurally took 10 minutes tops while the ones in the city took an hour with pinpointing the exact injection site etc.
He is a very good doctor. Dr. Seckin has a very good performance and very good with patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
