Dr Gutterman is the best!

We had the most wonderful recent experience under Dr Gutterman’s care. Aside from being a top surgeon, he was so caring and very much accommodating throughout the process. He is amazing with kids and really puts them at ease. His receptionist, Cindy is beyond nice! I called her countless times for various questions and she was always so patient and understanding of my needs. I highly recommend this practice! Thank you for the most wonderful experience!

For starter the office is super cute and CLEAN! The staff greets you so warmly, i’m sure they’re smiling behind their masks! Dr.Guterman is such a pro! We took a 9month old there, and baby didn’t fuss at all. Dr.G was so gentle, soothing, and quick (while still very thorough). He explained everything throughly and in terms we could understand. It was a such a pleasure! I recommend him to anyone and everyone!!

We took our three year old daughter in to see the doctor due to some strange eye movement she was experiencing. We provided him video of the eye movement. After the exam, he concluded there was no underlying issue and that what we were observing was some type of optical illusion. Fast forward a year, we brought her to another ophthalmologist. Within minutes, the other ophthalmologist diagnosed my daughter with esotropia and indicated that my daughter had sustained some vision and depth perception loss as a result of not catching the issue earlier. As a parent, I cannot begin to tell you how hurt I am that Dr Guterman's negligence impacted my daughter's vision and it's likely something she'll never get back. Long story short, please choose a different ophthalmologist for your child.

The doctor is very nice and is great with children. During my last visit which was back in Feb or March it was great. Today my daughters had an appointment, that was rescheduled for 4pm instead of the morning as it was suppose to be previously, but I understood because the doctor had a schedule surgery on a patient. Anyways I’m working my husband takes our children out of school to get them to their appointment and he hit traffic. He did not make it on time. I called the office and the lady going to tell me well he should have left earlier, like what lady. We have children that attend different schools and it is traffic all over at 3pm, she proceeded to tell me well he should have left earlier because we in Bergen county it’s always traffic. Like really. I was at work and wanted to remain professional. I just remained calm. What is she really trying to say… People these days are so rude for no reason. I understood what she was trying to say. I’m African American and I get it so my children will not be going back there. The doctor needs new professional, courtesy, polite, and respectful receptionist/aids

The receptionist Cindy is rude and nasty. The poor doctor will loose more and more patients. If your looking for your sign to stay away this is is believe me. I wish I took the bad reviews seriously before making an appointment. Unprofessional, learn how to treat people!!

Dr. Guterman was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and professional. He helped treat my six year old son who was complaining of burning, itchy red eyes and blurry vision due to a recent illness. He was very thorough in his evaluation and we never waited long in the waiting room. Our pediatrician recommended Dr. Guterman. We were so grateful he was able to squeeze us in. The office staff is truly wonderful and very diligent about scheduling and just overall a pleasure to speak to. I would highly recommend Dr. Guterman and his team. Forever thankful he helped my son regain his vision.

Dr. Guterman is an excellent professional. My daughter looks forward to her visits. He is patient and soft spoken with her. Office staff is professional and courteous.

My experience was great! Front desk were friendly and attentive. Dr. Gutterman was amazing and took his time with my daughter exam. My daughter felt super comfortable and looking forward for next follow up!
