David Vesole's Online Review Report Card

Very unprofessional, has the nerve to ask me if I was a gang member because of my urban outfit! I have a history of federal employment and he completely disrespect me and my culture. He needs to reevaluate how he sees people and not be so narrow minded and judgemental. He will never see me again. I do not recommend he and his privilege views.

Dr Vezole is tops in his field. His knowledge in hematology and oncology is excellent. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is very easy to talk to.

I have been a patient of Dr. David Vesole for over 10 years. He is hard-working and a totally effective. Through this MM journey, David and the JTCC Staff have made the best possible recommendations to me despite dealing with a difficult disease. He is a favorite of the staff as they respect him and he treats them professionally as they all are. Doctors Siegel and Dr. Biram work tirelessly and seamlessly with David. The staff at JTCC have vastly advanced the medical sciences to the benefit of all. Never,never,never give in- Churchill

Extremely insensitive doctor- treated my mother well, but when it became clear she had no chance at survival, he disappeared, quite abruptly in fact. Multiple attempts to reach out to him in the wake of her death by my father and I were rudely ignored. Confronted by the hospital administration on this, Dr. Vesole played dumb, as if he had no idea what we were unhappy with. Completely unacceptable and disturbing behavior from a doctor we thought was passionate and caring.

If I could, I would give five stars for the care and treatment Dr. Vesole showed my mother over the course of roughly two years for multiple myeloma. Due to his taking the time out of his schedule to visit my mother both in the cancer center and in the ICU in her final days, I did not expect his entire lack of compassion after she passed away. For the way he treated my father and I, he deserves zero stars. After my mother passed away, we did not hear anything from him. Thinking this was a bit odd - although fully aware that doctors are not required to reach out to families - my father wrote him a nice letter about a month and a half after my mother’s death, thanking him for the care he gave her. 2 months go by without a response from him. I decided to write a letter expressing my disappointment at his total silence in the wake of my mother’s death, considering she trusted him with her life. It’s hard to believe, but he did not respond to this either. I was appalled that not only did he not respond to my father’s letter, but that he had the audacity to ignore mine as well. After contacting the hospital’s top-level administration regarding this, he was finally contacted by the staff and informed of our disappointment in his lack of action. He responded that he didn’t know what we were angry about because he thought he treated my mother well. My father and I were very disturbed by his complete lack of understanding of what he did - it was never about his care for my mother, and both my father and I made this abundantly clear. Had my mother known that he would treat us this way, she would have walked out and wanted nothing further to do with him, I know this for certain. It does not matter how good of a doctor Vesole is. His behavior is inexcusable and far overshadows any talent he may possess in medicine.

Extremely poor bedside manor. Rude, with an infiriority complex. Last visit, he had a problem with my inquiry about giving fluids and platelets, which were both needed and then proceeded to ask me “is there anything else you want me to give him today, like a golden winner lottery ticket”? When your brothers dying, no one needs that kind of insensitivity.
