Dr. Lancman is Awesome! He is the reason why I am seizure free for over 9 yrs. He is very calm,and gives the best advice to his patients. He is always on point when it comes to my medication and tests. I appreciate him very much!

It's been a decade since I consulted with Dr. Lancman, and I believe my story will be very informative. In 2010 I had my first partial seizure. Dr. Lancman ordered an EEG and explained to me that there was some activity on the results, but I did not have epilepsy. My seizures continued uncontrollably. I sought care with another provider. Eventually, I became a patient at one of the premier neurological institutes in the NYC area. It is a premier institution for a reason. The doctors there are brilliant and ethical. It turned out that I had epilepsy, and a brain tumor was causing it. Dr. Lancman did not order an MRI to see if this was a possibility. I thought standard neurological protocol is to order an MRI for any patient presenting with seizures for the first time. My current medical team found the cause of my seizures, and I had surgery to treat the tumor. I am sure Dr. Lancman is a fine physician, but I always advise pursuing a second opinion if necessary.

Doctor Lancman helped me when everyone gave up on me I owe him my life I wish I had him as a neurologist when I was younger.

Dr Lancman had little interest in my welfare. He was much more interested in doing more tests to enrich himself.

Spends no more than 5 minutes at appointment. Anymore seizures? NO, Good, let's make an appointment in 3 months. The nurse that first comes in interviews you for about 10 minutes, not much, blood pressure, weight, medicine dosages, are you taking, etc. The original doctor that had this practice, Dr. Fertig, unfortunately moved out west.

I have been going to Dr.Lancman for 8 yrs now and I have been seizure free since 2010 thanks to him after being on wrong medication for 15 yr. He listens to all of my questions and answers them in a way I can fully comprehend them and it doesn't sound like medical gibberish. Whenever I have a problem I call his staff and they are so pleasant and helpful and very quick with providing documents if I am in need of them. If you are searching for a doctor for your seizures hes the one.

Dr. Lancman has done nothing but waste my time and scare me. He waltzes into the room for 30 seconds, barely makes eye contact, doesn't inform me about what's going on, and just leaves with no solution or suggestions of what I should do. I apparently don't have epilepsy, so he couldn't care less about me. Do NOT go to this hack to try to find out what's wrong, he's strictly an epileptologist who doesn't really care about his patients.
