List of Martin Gutierrez's Reviews
Doctor took care of my father and literally sugar coated everything. Kept telling him let’s try this med and that med and was not focused on making him feel better. Let’s just say my father is dying. Did not even detect his aneurysm.
He is too busy to give the care you want. Every time I went to see him the waiting room was packed and he was never on time for my appointment. I had Stage 2 lung cancer. My surgeon removed it. Dr. Gutierrez sent me for chemo and every 6 months a CT scan. He would come in with the scan results and say there was no recurrence and leave the room. Well 2 years later it spread to my brain. Maybe if he would have sent me for a pet scan after 2 years I would not had to have brain surgery and radiation. Thankfully the surgeon got it out. I switched oncologist because I need someone who will take the time and tests that I need.
Great Doctor, and staff he is only human can do the best for cancer patients,
He absolutely saved my life. In 2010 I was diagnosed with BPDCN and the prognosis was quite bad. Dr. G did everything he could and I’m happy to say 10 years later I am doing great. He does the best he can with people that would not survive without help.
Saved my husband. Had stage 3A colon cancer. He's now 6 years cancer free. John Theurer Cancer center, where Dr Gutierrez is was a wonderful positive facility.
5 years ago I would've highly recommended him, but as he grew busy his level of care diminished as his popularity soared,.One day he had 62 patients in his book, and communication became a 30second visit. By year 5 he was caught up in his busy schedule he failed to read my CT scan to it's fullest, which stated that my cancer had spread to my 5th rib. One week later I went to MSKCC for a 2nd opinion because I felt he was no longer at my best interestThat's when I found out that my cancer had spread for the first time. They read the same scan he read but to the fullest and that's how I found out.I called the office various times spoke to his nurses never did I receive a call from him. He finally looked at my scan after I was treated in the hospital for a week 6months later and he was on call I asked him why he hadn't told me about my scan he responded with let's worry about what's important now. Left the room returned 2minutes later to confirm the cancer had spread! I am devastated!
When my husband was faced with no cure and inoperable Stage-4 Advanced Cancer, he lost 35 pounds, and given 6-months to live, he was in trouble. Dr. Gutierrez had a difficult task utilizing the latest chemo and immunotherapy treatments available in managing my husband's condition. It's two years today, and my husband has gained all his weight back, is in remission and continues to receive the treatment that is needed for the rest of his life. To who, I am truly grateful is to Dr. Gutierrez!
He killed my mom
Dr. Guitierrez literally saved my life. In 2003 he was my primary oncologist out of Ft. Lauderdale and put me on a clinical trial cocktail that he created. The treatment he provided to me saved me. I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Stage III large B-cell lymphoma , and I am now cancer free. It wasn't without a fight, but the tool provided were by him. I will forever be grateful to him, and would recommend home to anyone who needed the kind of care that he can provide
Alot of wrong doing with my mother and the story is long as well.all i will say is i dont reccommend this hospital or Doctor .My mother suffered and was put through hell. She was put to sleep in my arms by that doctor n staff..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
