List of Mohammed Faraz Khan's Reviews
I saw Dr. Khan for severe stenosis caused by herniated discs in my lumbar and cervical.Meeting Dr. Khan for the first time I was impressed with the time he took(1 hour) to explain how serious the condition has progressed and what options I had.I decided to get both surgeries the same day.The doc came to talk to me before the surgery to answer any questions. After surgery I only had a nurse practitioner to talk to and to discharge me. I was disappointed not to hear from the doc, but ok np.After 6 weeks of PT my 2nd follow up was scheduled. The day before I get a call that my TELEMED(I don't know how anyone can evaluate someone on the phone) follow up was being cancelled with him and I can speak to the practitioner. I've been in contact with the practitioner a few time via email. She was relayed messages to the doc in a timely fashion. They tell me he doesn't have time until Dec., which is 2 months away. What kick in the head! I guess he is a decent surgeon but u'll be on u'r own after
I met with Dr. Khan regarding options for a herniated disk in my neck. My first appointment with him, he was professional, detailed, personable and most importantly I felt that he had my best interest. After hearing my options and surgery being the best option, he performed a fusion and I felt that I was in the best hands. The surgery was successful and I would recommend him ten times over. His whole staff is also incredible. I’ve had a wonderful experience all around.
Excellent experience! Listened to concerns and addressed them!
Dr. Khan is a wonderful doctor. He saved my dads life after a car accident when he had to take out half of his skull. 6 months later the skull is back and my dad is making a great improvement
Explains everything thoroughly in terms you can understand. Does not force surgery upon you. Surgery went amazing. Healing very well!
Dr. Kahn is very informative and helps get you comfortable with what he is going to do. Everything is explained and he answers questions in a way you can understand. My surgery was a 4 level cervical fusion and I was never forced into a decision. He lets you make up your own mind all the time informing you of the pluses and minuses of having surgery or not. His personality is easy going and what a patient needs when going in a major surgery. I had 6 or 7 total office visits and the wait time was 10 minutes or less for each visit. His PA, Rachel is also very helpful and very accessible.
In my first meeting with Dr. Khan I felt convent in his ability to correct the pain in my butt and also going down my legs. I was encouraged to try other remedies before it came to doing surgery. I liked is approach to try to fix the problem without surgery. it turned out that none of the things I tried did not help. so he performed surgery and all the pain has gone away. I'm now going to PT to straighten my back mussels. would recommend Dr. Khan highly. Great doctor with a personality .
I have had previous spinal surgery in VA however I moved to NJ last year and unfortunately I had to undergo another spinal surgery. Not having my specialist in NJ I had to trust who Hackensack hospital was providing me. Dr. Khan was absolutely amazing. While I was in the ER he broke down what was going to happen moving forward. He gave me 3 different options and answered all my questions to ensure I make the best decision. He came to me 3 times and explained my options. I was literally getting prepped for surgery when he wanted to tell me my options one more time. That’s when I switched the procedure I wanted based on his recommendations but the overall decision was up to me. He was never pushy, he just wanted to make sure I was positive with my decision. My recovery from my procedure was so smooth and completely different from my first spinal surgery. I will always recommend Dr. Khan and his team!
I have been through many injuries and recoveries, most severe.. Recently (October 2022) Dr Mohammed Faraz Khan completed a C4-C7 ACDF on my cervical spine… I saw no less than 7 other doctors who had varying diagnosis and opinions. I pursued multiple epidurals, trigger point injections, ozone injections injections, acupuncture, PT, cupping, and shockwave therapy. Nothing worked and I was at the end of my rope when I found Dr Khan. He took the time to send me for more tests including duplicate tests with his colleagues because he wasn’t confident in the accuracy of prior tests I had done. By far one of my best surgical experiences. His bedside is like no other and he takes the time to figure out what is really going on. Some others just look to rush into surgery without proper diagnostics. More than likely requiring more surgeries in the future. I put my full trust in Dr. Khan and his staff. If I got a redo, or had to do it all over, this is the decision I would make again.
Dr. Khan is a wonderful surgeon. I had my first fusion at a different practice in 2019. A few. years later I began having terrible back pain again. I saw several surgeons, and so glad I met with Dr. Khan. He displayed confidence and compassion during my initial consultation. He did not pressure me at all, and told me what he recommended we do if and when I was ready. I ended up going for several injections through his practice, and ended up having to expedite my surgery because of severe symptoms I was experiencing. Dr. Khan was with me every step of the way. My back pain is so much better. He is the best!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
