List of Patrick A. Roth's Reviews
Dr. Roth and his Team are outstanding. Whenever I'm in the office, I am made to feel as if I'm the only patient in the office which of course is not true, but their concern for my well-being was evident. I had cervical spine surgery by Dr. Roth, and I was up and home the next day. The gentleman is not only a gifted surgeon, but a kind man who spends whatever time it takes to understand my problem and to explain what needs to be done. This is just unheard of in healthcare today. Lastly, I want to recognize his staff, especially Michele Lugo, whose cutomer service skills are exemplary. Everyone of his staff were professional, attentive and kind.
Pat may be an excellent doctor but his administration is terrible. In summary: 1 month to get an appointment, appt was 30 mins behind schedule. Agreed on getting an MRI. No followup from office on getting the MRI order. I told them that I would pay for the MRI so I did not need to wait for insurance coverage. 1 week later I call and ask what is going on. They said they will send the order via email. Never sent. Called again got vmail. Was told the admin would call back. Never got a call back. Called again and the admin said they would send. Finally received it. Had the MRI ( another 1 week and a half ). Two days later still nothing from the Dr. Called again had to leave voice mail. Got a call back 4 hours later and was told the Dr would be able to tele-conference on the results 31 days from then. When I said that was unacceptable, I was put on hold and was told of time that was 15 days forward and that the time was tentative. This is how this operation handles patients. I am the CEO of my company and have held every operational role. If I ran my business this way we would not have a single client. Know what you are getting into. The consultation and initial xray with the Doc was great but when someone is in pain and looking for guidance waiting months at a time is irresponsible. UPDATE I did finally review MRI with Pat and I read his book. I think he is super balanced and helpful when discussing options. Again, like I said at the start of this review. An excellent doctor. However, his administration is what it its.
The absolute worst experience. After looking at my MRI he said the only thing that would help me was surgery for l4-l5. Unfortunately I agreed to let him do it. He did not do any testing before surgery The surgery was a total failure, there was no fusion and screws were “grossly loose”. The pain was much worse after surgery than it had been before. To add insult to injury I never saw the Doctor after my surgery, he didn’t even have the courtesy to show up for the telemedicine conference that was scheduled by his office. After waiting over 3 hours I called the office and told them I was going to find a Doctor who cared because this doc just doesn’t cut it. I found an amazing surgeon who did all kinds of testing to know what was going on. I am now 6 months post op and doing great.
If I could put negative stars, there would not be enough! He paralyzed my husband a few years back! During this time, his legal team sent us a nasty, threatening letter not to sue because we would not win! BEWARE!
Operated on my herniated disc. Full and total recovery. Feel like I got my life back thanks to Dr Roth’s intervention and skill. Ever grateful.
Just wanted to add a vote of confidence for Dr. Roth as a knowledgable and supportive doctor. I felt very confident in his thoughtful care and the education he gave me about my back, which has lead me on a journey of understanding and healing. After meeting him, I read his two books to follow up on his philosophy and they're highly recommended. Thank you to him and his team in the office.
Experience with Dr Roth was less than successful on all levels. First visit he spent more time discussing best way to do surgery with a student than he did in gaining information from me. He ordered no tests, said the only thing that could help me was surgery. My pain has been worse since he did surgery. It has been almost 10 months since he performed L4-5 fusion. As one doctor put it “why did he bother”. The screws and metal post are loose and moving around. I need surgery to remove and repair what Dr Roth did and did not do. I never saw Dr Roth post surgery. We had a telemedicine call scheduled to go over results or post op MRI, I waited over 3 hours with no call. Finally called the office and said I was coming to pick up my file and find a doctor who cared because he certainly did not". I would not recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Chirichella is an extremely compassionate physician that I trust completely. He develops a treatment plan with you and never speaks at you but to you. He is extremely sincere and wants to elevate the pain that you are feeling. He always calls the day after he sees you to see how you are feeling. My mother and I are patient’s are of Dr. Chirichella as well as my son who is a semi-pro and D1 college soccer goalie. I trust him and know that he has my best interest at heart. Jen and Kim who are his assistants are incredible! They do whatever they can to make sure you are seen ASAP especially in an emergent situation.
Dr. Roth is one of the great ones. He is patient, thorough and truly cares about his patients well being. I've struggled with back pain for many years and he has helped me understand clearly my condition and options. He gives me as well as other patients hope. I've seen him with other patients. I also truly appreciate his kindness, easeness and knowledge. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Roth operated on my spine 20 years ago. I am walking and working because of him. Thank you, Doctor!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
