List of Philip G. Woodham's Reviews
I suffer from IBS and every time I have any type of medical issue, he can never see me or even call me back. I have been waiting for a call back from him for over a week and me calling non stop the office only for him to refer me to my gastreologist. I mean what is the point of having a primary doctor when they do not want to even see you. I told them I had just moved and do not have a GI doctor at this time and all they said Is look for one.
He listens, doesn't rush you. Talks straight to you, doesn't tell you what you WANT to hear. I miss him. Moved from the area. Won't find another like him.
Today was my first in-person appointment with Dr. Woodham office since covid. While I personally like Dr. Woodham and his approach. His practice has changed since he moved from 2nd street to HUMC.My appointment was for 1pm at 2pm I fired the practice as more patient's need to do to teach Doctor's that without us they are out of business. Leaving patient's in waiting rooms for over an hour is an unacceptable way to treat your long standing customers (and yes we are customers). The office personnel don't care that you the patient is sitting with other sick people during these covid times for hours as they sit behind glass away from the patient's. In closing the front desk personnel didn't care that I waited for 75 minutes drove an hour to get to my appointment early, they just handed me the form to release my medical information to the next Doctor who maybe will care about my time as much as he will care about my health!
This doctor, despite his overt "preppy" appearance, is very much a STREET urchin with many racial axes to grind. Once he becomes comfortable with the patient, particularly if you (like him) happen to be a Person of Color (Latino or Black), he uses vulgarity when in disgust with his fellow physicians whom he reluctantly has to interact with on your matter. This is especially true if the "other" physicians are either Jewish or Asian. He "hate(s) them," as he revealed to me during one office visit. I recommend that, if civility and more than a cursory, superficial approach to your medical problem is what your ideal PCP is, avoid this guy if possible. VERY PRETENTIOUS.
Wonderful doctor
my favoriteeeeeeeee iloveyou
Amazing doctor! I would agree with comments about the staff, but never about this doctor. I've been a patient for more than a year now and there is nothing and I mean nothing negative that i can say about the doctor. He is great with patients, he is absolutely amazing physician, which is very rare these days. I would strongly recommend this MD to anyone who wants to be and stay healthy! I would give him 10 stars if that was possible.
Horrible was running late for appointment tried to call office three times no answer and then was turned away with sone significant medical issues i needed address will not return
Dr. Woodham and his staff are all I could have hoped for in a medical practitioner. This was my first time seeing him and I felt comfortable and confident to chose him to be my primary care physician. He provided the absolute best care, and I believe, best advice and treatment during my visit. If you are looking for a doctor whose medical knowledge is encyclopedic, treats the whole person, and takes the time to be caring even while maintaing a very efficient office, then Dr. Woodham is someone you should consider visiting.
Dr. Woodham was referred to me by another MD and it was right on point. He's attentive, thorough and has a very relaxed yet professional demeanor. In his office, I never feel rushed or like 'just a patient'. Even if he hasn't seen you in months, if he saw you in a different setting, I'm convinced he'd still say 'hello' and ask how you're doing. I'm very picky about which MD I choose, but I'm very satisfied with his service. so much so that I'm even referring him to my adult child.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
