I was sent to ER by my regular physician over concerns of severe RSV. My doctor wanted me to be admitted and put on steroids. When this was communicated to this dr at Chilton ER, he dismissed the severity of my symptoms requiring admittance, questioned my physicians credentials. He was smug and insulting. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. When my concerns if this doctors attitude were expressed to the nurse, she confirmed he had this reputation with patients. She was wonderful and an advocate of my symptoms to doctor for proper treatment. I was admitted and after 5 days am still admitted and being treated. I guess his ego has needs to take a step back.

I wasnt surprised to see all the negative reviews regarding this physician, the question is, how is HUMC allowing this? This is supposed to be one of the best in the area and I have seen great physicians out of this hospital, not sure what this guy is doing there or how he was allocated this position. Do not trust this providers decision, Lawsuit.

He didn't even examine me in Hackensack UMC ER and he billed to my insurance for more than $500. Didn't even see his face during my visit.

I am in the health services industry and hardly use urgent care services. We were visiting family in the Summit area because my niece was in the ICU after brain surgery. Two of my children had fever and red throats and I suspected strep, but they were really excited to visit their cousin in the hospital. Dr. Fernandez dismissed me and my concerns and was bothered to care for my children. He spent a total of one minute with them. The bill I received was not commensurate for care provided.

Atrocious bedside manner. How do you have a 90+ year old with elevated cardiac enzymes and tell him that it's his decision to go or stay, then walk away when the family tries to ask you questions, telling them I'm stuck here till 7, don't rush your decision? What kind of MD shows that lack of compassion?!

What a fantastic doctor!!! I was in pain. I thought I was allergic to Toradol . . . but he gave it to me anyway and I felt great. By the way what does "malingering" mean? I would definitely use him again next time I am withdrawing from Methadone.
