Schweiger Dermatology Group Hackensack's Online Review Report Card

Nice office with easily obtained appointments -- no need to wait weeks or months to see someone. I have only needed to use the practice for minor skin conditions, so I cannot review their treatment of more serious conditions. I have been seen by Amy Tank,PA, and Deeyana Dekhan, NP. They were both punctual with good bedside manners. Tip: be sure to ask a lot of questions, though, like "What might have caused this condition?," "How can I prevent this condition from returning," and "What is good care after the immediate treatment?" Coffee station is available for free tea or coffee to drilnk while you wait, but I've never had a long wait. Parking is convenient -- free validated parking in parking deck or $10 valet parking at front door of building. You can also text for appointments at 646.558.6696. (See photo.) I always struggled with acne and I decided to get treated. My first time was with Dr. Catena and she did a great job by listening and caring about me and my acne but somehow I couldn't continue going to the west Orange office so I decided to go to Hackensack where I saw Dr. Lolis. She was the worse person, I had my appointment at 9:10, by 9:45 I asked the secretary if she can check on the doctor. After complaining about not being service they made me pass to the office and made me wait for Dr. Lolis until 10:30 when she came in; she didn't apologize for being late. I told her I was upset that I had to wait over an hour to see her and her answer was "you are welcome to change providers if you don't like it" so she went over my paper work and I had to do blood work and she asked me if I had it done and I said yes then she said let me see then I said that I didn't had the blood work results with me then Dr Lolis said "YOUR FACE" then she proceed to grab my neck roughly. She saw my face within one minute and walked out without saying she was done or any updates. After 5 mins the assistant comes in and starts explaining everything to me. So if you are going to get treated here then avoid taking Dr. Lolis, she doesn't care, she is rude and disrespectful to clients and she doesn't care about her job. This is my experience with her at the office at Hackensack and definitely not going back with her!

The worst experience..! The doctor Patel Isita, she attended for 5 min and charged me for 15-29 min, I call for a solution and help for this issue, they didn’t call me back I call so many times and they always said they will help me to resolve this issue, and now the solution it was just sent me a collection. They didn’t listen about my petition or an agreement, they said they understand and they will find a solution but nobody could do anything, it’s not fair to pay for not any good service or any professional services.

Deeyana the Nurse Practitioner was amazing, friendly, and professional. My skin biopsies were quick and painless! Highly recommend!

i previously went to the Rutherford location for years. i made an appointment at this office because i moved. the appointment was for a prescription refill and skin tag removal. i waited almost an hour to be seen. i was brought into a room where the nurse(?) asked me what i was there for. she explained that she could refill the prescriptions for me and if i wanted the skin tags removed by the doctor it would be $200. i explained that i had gotten some removed last year at the Rutherford location and insurance covered it. she told me to go back there since that location doesn't consider skin tag removal cosmetic and it would be covered under insurance there. i am giving this office 2 stars instead of 1 because the nurse and the doctor who i saw for all of 3 minutes were extremely nice. i would not recommend this location due to the long wait and the fact that nobody told me about the charge for the removal in advance.

This place is disgusting! I brought my daughter here yesterday and we had the worst experience ever! The girls that sit in the front are useless. Totally clueless. We were there to see Dr. Erin and she didn’t even spend not even 3 mins with my daughter. She was in such a hurry after we were there waiting for her for more than 20 mins and passed our appointment time. They take their sweet time because all they do is sit there and gossip with one another about their patients and in front of other patients. Very unprofessional. The African American girl with short and wavy hair who came in the room to see my daughter was very rude and kept giving me an attitude. She was so annoyed that we were even there. And all this over a coupon that Dr: Erin told her to give me. She made a big scene for no reason at all. While she’s there talking to me in a disrespectful way, the girl with the long black curly hair, with the glasses, was laughing in my face. All this, in front of other patients. As I’m walking away, she laughs with the girl with the two braids and asked “What was that?” And continues to laugh and gossip about me. Then, a Caucasian woman, who was very upset, asked to speak to a manager because her daughter was in the waiting area for almost 2 hrs. I also asked to speak to a manager and she laughed in my face and said “she’s not here” Pay attention to all the bad reviews, this place is the worst! Find another dermatologist because this place is definitely not it. They have the worst customer service you can ever imagine! I hope the manager sees this because they need new staffs that are actually professional and love working with people. These girls always sitting there looking like they hate being there and working with people. God forbid you have a question, you’re disturbing them. SMH

Waited over an hour for a 2-3 minute consultation with Dr. Margarita Lolis. Eventually I was switched to PA Amy (who was lovely) and saw me right away.

Don’t ever go to this place trust me when i say this. about four weeks ago i went to dorney park and saw a rash on my right cheek and i thought it was a sunburn and it will go away. But after awhile it didn’t so i decided to go see a dermatologist at the hackensack location. my first appointment at 6 pm- the doc comes in and sees my face and says i have ringworm and walks out. Why was the doctor in such a hurry? why did the doctor not swab my face or went close to my face to er what was wrong?. she literally walked out in a sec. she prescribed me anti fungal medication and told me to use them until my “ringworm” goes away. so i started to use it. 1 weeks passes by and no results. just bunch of insecurities i was facing. my second appt 4:30 pm- this time it was another doc and she was in such a hurry too, she didn’t even look at my face and said i have ringworm and come back in one week. so i took matters in my own hand , i spoke to my family member who’s a PA and she said i don’t have ringworm it’s more like dermatitis or rosacea. i wanted to see if this was true so i go to another dermatologist and i came to found out it was rosacea. this doc actually sat with me for 30 min to explain everything. she was such a sweet person. THIS IS MY FACE. I’ve been using the wrong medication for 2 weeks on my face. we people trust doctors because we think they will fix us but these two doctors at the hackensack location didn’t help me but wasted my time and made my face worse. my face could’ve been fixed all the redness could’ve went away. everything could’ve been fine. i wouldn’t have to be crying everyday and being insecure about my face. never go to this location!! it’s the worst they deserve 0 stars

Absolutely horrible experience here in 2020. First visit was for an ingrown hair that turned into a cyst in my cheek. I had 2 biopsy’s done, then I was told they would operate on it set a date. When I went in for operation they told me they wouldn’t operate and suggested I see an ENT because it’s more serious. OK then billed me for the procedure and visit which they did nothing at. A year later I went to an ENT he removed it in his office that day because it was just a cyst!!!!! This office made me think I had cancer, inconvenienced, embarrassed, and then billed me. I wouldn’t take a cadaver here for a touch up before their wake. NEVER AGAIN. Beyond Botox and minor cosmetic things DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS OFFICE TRUST ME!!!!!! Staff is sweet though……….
