Had rotator surgery and was very impressed with efficiency and knowledge of Dr. Silver. Pain level, flexibility and overall wellness is impressive as compared to open shoulder Surgery I had 5 years Ago on my other shoulder. I recommend Dr. Silver And Active Orthopedics Highly. Arthroscopic surgery is definitely the way to go and Dr. Silver is the man.
Friendly staff. Have been very helpful with all my needs. Dr Silver did an amazing job with surgery and im recovering in record time. Incredible!
Dr. Silver changed my life I had a subchondrial plasty and a repair of a torn meniscus of my right knee last September and within 2 weeks I was perfectly fine I am forever grateful to him I have no pain it’s like if I never had any problems with my knee ...... thank you so muchSincerely, Rosa Nadal
I was in need of an orthopedic surgeon for a meniscus tear and ACL reconstruction. I was not comfortable or impressed with the first surgeon I met with after I reinjured my knee after a bad fall. Dr. Silver came highly recommended to me by a colleague who had knee surgery by Dr. Silver two years ago. I went to him for a second opinion. He took the time to explain the procedure in depth and answer all of my questions about the procedure and the recovery process, which really put me at ease. I had the surgery 10 days ago and I am doing great. I have not experienced any pain and was full weight bearing within 48 hours (no crutches once i was full weight bearing - only wearing the knee brace). I started physical therapy in week 1 and am making great progress. I met with Dr. Silver today for a follow up and to have the stitches removed. He told me that the surgery went really well and showed me the pictures from the surgery and explained once again what was done. Dr. Silver is a very professional, compassionate and accomplished surgeon. 5 stars - highly recommend!
A year ago I had a torn meniscus which was excruciating painful. My doctor recommended Dr. Silver. When I went to him he had suggested arthroscopic knee surgery and a second procedure called "chloroplasty"which is a calcium injection to smooth the damage to the cartilage. It is almost a year since the surgery. The mobility in my leg is better than it was before I had the surgery. Really amazing. I highly recommend.
As a chiropractor who uses his arms/hands every day for work, I was very concerned about the extent of the injury to my right shoulder. I feared that I wouldn't be able to return to work and wasn't ready to retire. Not only did Dr. Silver put my mind at ease, but his office staff was extremely helpful, friendly and courteous during the entire process from the initial consultation, during the surgery, as well as during the recovery process. Dr. Silver explained the surgical process needed to repair my shoulder in such a way that I knew from the initial consultation that I had chosen the right surgeon for the job. My commute to his office in Hackensack, NJ was approximately 90 minutes one way, but definitely worth the drive.I had some initial pain following the surgery, but much less than I had anticipated. The entire recovery process was much less painful and easier than I had anticipated and I believe that is due to the excellent surgical skills of Dr. Silver. I can't thank him enough for what he has done for me and I highly recommend him.
Dr silver very professional ,he was sit with me more then a hour explain my situation surgical and non surgery. knows his stuff and highly recommend!! best doctor ever with a lot of patience .
Dr. Silver and his staff is absolutely the best ! I came in with a torn bicep in November of 2015. Dr. .Silver scheduled my operation within a week. I opted to have the surgery performed at the Hackensack, NJ location, which is an easy drive from NYC and has ample parking. Facility , service and staff were out of this world. Even though I went to see the doctor kind of late ( almost 3 weeks after injury ) as the window of successful bicep repair was closing, Dr . Silver was able to repair it. After some physical therapy I've been back to normal for some time now. I'm lifting weights again and living my life to the fullest. Million thanks to Dr. Silver for an outstanding service. Thanks to Vivian and Andrea who have been overly helpful, knowledgeable and nice throughout my experience. Hopefully I won't be needing their help again, but I always recommend Dr Silver to my friends and family.
I went to Dr. Silver seeking an alternative to knee replacement surgery. I was under the impression Dr.Silver performed stem cell therapy. Upon arrival, the process was explained to me. I would have my blood drawn, it would then be placed in a centrifuge. After a few minutes in the centrifuge, the blood had separated into two distinct parts. One was a semi-transparent fluid, the other a blood colored fluid. One was blood platelets, which were injected into my knee.At the same time , he withdrew a fluid which looked almost like the fluid he injected into my knee. After the first treatment [ first of three ] I immediately felt relief of the pain I had been I had experiencing. Two weeks later I had a second treatment. This time I experienced no further relief, although there was also no increase in pain, even after a period of several weeks. I have not, as yet, returned for the 3rd treatment.Reasons: $1200.per treatment 2. I am uncertain of the outcome of another $1200. shot.
He performed surgery to repair partial tears in my shoulder and bicep. I am very pleased with the results. This is a great doctor. He really knows what he is doing and uses state of the art techniques that get great results.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
