List of John W. Murphy's Reviews
Dr. Murphy is professional, however the front desk personnel is horrific. They have no sense of urgency or care when you call with a problem. I was actually hung up on! Trying to reach them is a task and very frustrating.
I went to him before the surgery and after the surgery it was worse, they have horrible service. I went to go get my medical record and they were trying to charge me a dollar a paper! After the surgery i felt worse and they are wanting me to do another surgery once they messed up the first one? Even a friend of mine had went and his surgery did not succeed and got worse. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone Horrible service, horrible staff
I had to go back to my current doctor. Front staff rude. He was not concerned at all with my health issues. Felt uncomfortable with how he was going to treat me.
I can not recommend Dr Murphy. He didn’t listen to me and I found him to be dismissive and cavalier about my health concerns. During my first visit and after a very brief consultation, with practically no physical exam, he prescribed two new medications. Fortunately, and only because of the diligence of my Pharmacist, I found out these medications had dangerous and serious side effects when combined with one of my medications I have been taking for several years. She actually refused to fill them. Dr Murphy never once mentioned these side effects much less their seriousness. I also found his support staff to be rude and confrontational and unhelpful. I called today to seek help with a referral. Like him, the person helping me was dismissive and perturbed with my call. Full disclosure, after stewing about this unpleasant experience I called back and called this person a rude expletive. Not my finest moment. At least it will be my last call to their office and they won’t have to “deal” with me. There are too many good Drs out there with wonderful staff to suffer this king of treatment. Look elsewhere. I'm forced to give one star otherwise I would give him 0 stars
Dr. Murphy is most definitely to be recommended! My experience with him was excellent! He was attentive and unrushed and all of the office staff was efficient, polite and considerate of my time. This was my first experience with Dr. Murphy and he, most definitely, has become my new family physician! I am grateful to have found him.
My visit to dr. Murphy was definitely a good experience. He’s very thorough at what he does. He takes his time, he explains everything, and he definitely has very good bedside manners. Also, the staff is very friendly, they make you feel like you’re at home. All in all , I would definitely recommend him to other people.
I was more than favorably impressed with this physician - he is thorough, attentive, and skillful - most of all - he listens attentively - and doesn't 'rush' through exams - and he is - decisive.
My son and I saw Dr. Murphy he was and always is incredibly knowledgeable, and very friendly, Our nurse was Laura she was also very sweet. I am so happy to have finally found an office I’m confident enough to not only go to for myself but to take my whole family too. That’s not very common these days, I’m very grateful for that and i would surely recommend all ages to this practice.
I had 3 Epidural shots to my back and Dr. Murphy was spot on each time, he also has a great sense of humor and made me laugh to ease the situation. If I need additional treatments I will be sure to ask for Dr. Murphy!
Dr. Murphy took excellent care of my 3 year old daughter who broke her leg on a trampoline. He took his time and make her smile and even put a cast her teddy bear's leg too. He carefully explained his concerns about her break being near the growth plate and had us do follow up with visits at 3 months, 6th months and a year later to make sure her legs were growing at the same rate.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
