Dr. Markel is phenomenal. We’ve been with him since our son was a newborn and have only had positive experiences. He is very patient and always takes the time to answer questions and provide information. He also has a great sense of humor so visits are always fun with him. There is rarely a wait-time in the office and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We are so lucky to have Dr. Markel, he feels like an extension of the family - he has even answered calls late night or when we have been overseas!

David, Bob and all the staff of Hamburg Pediatrics makes you feel like in a family. I can’t believe how much they have done for us and how professional and great their job has been. I will never been enough grateful to have find them on our path. Our son and the whole our family wouldn’t be the same without them. Thankyou so much!

Dr Markel and staff are the GREATEST, hands down! There is something to be said about a small town doctor office, the staff& nurses are so kind and genuinely care. Dr Markel has been taking care of my kids for 6+ years and is very connected to what is going on in their lives, and for that I’m so thankful! He has always given my kids the BEST care and confidently recommends other doctors/specialists when it’s something that needs more monitoring. In multiple instances Dr Markel has made the call to send my children to the ER after being seen in his office which led to hospital stays in both the NICU & PICU. Among so many other things he has done for us, he was fantastic while he monitored my newborn post surgery, he always gives me peace of mind for every little thing I worry about with the kids (while never making me feel stupid for it!) and has gone above and beyond with my asthma kids (esp. post pandemic illnesses). Thank you Dr Markel and Staff for being the best of the best!

Dr Markel is a great doctor. Always available when you call . Staff if great , place is clean.

My sister recommended him since she takes her kids there and I was temporarily staying in NJ. My first visit was so great that I continue to bring my baby there months later, and just make it part of visiting NJ relatives :) The office set up is clean and beautiful, wait time is reasonable, and the entire staff is great. I’ve had bad experiences with front desk service in other places, but everyone is great here. Both in-person and over-the-phone. The doctor’s response time is great too with returning phone calls and messages via their online patient portal. I should mention I’m a first time mom and he’s always patient and encouraging with my inquiries. It’s important to have that comfort and dialogue in the medical field.

Dr. Markel is quite simply the best. He is kind, dedicated, and very knowledgeable. When we’ve had questions about vaccines, he’s listened respectfully and shared relevant information in an easy to understand, and helpful manner. We have four children, all of whom he’s treated since they were born - and all of whom feel comfortable speaking to him about anything that concerns them. I appreciate that he’s not quick to simply medicate, but takes the time to diagnose and discern the best treatment plan. He is a caring physician who goes out of his way to make sure our children are well cared for. He was particularly helpful to us in navigating through Covid, staying up to date on the latest protocols, making sure his office took all necessary steps to keep young, vulnerable patients safe, and equipping parents with the information they needed to protect their families. We highly recommend him.

I wish I could leave a higher rating for this doctor’s office. Hamburg Pediatrics has been an absolute pleasure to work with over the years. The front office staff has always been pleasant and efficient. The back office staff like billing and insurance have been the same. Dr Markle is one of a kind. He has gotten back to me very quickly when I have needed his advice and assistance with my children. He remains the absolute best doctor I have ever seen. If you are looking for personal attention from both the office staff and the doctor this is a great choice for you. I highly recommend.

Office staff needs a lesson in customer service. As a nurse of 21 years, I find the way they speak to patients extremely rude and unprofessional.

Always had a very good experience with Dr. Markle. The negative reviews because he won’t see non vaccinated kids are absolute BS. Get your kids vaccinated people. Half if not all of them would have died of a disease 200 years prior. Google heard immunity. Not seeing vaccinated children is a very common practice with pediatricians.

I highly recommend this Doctor, he's friendly knowledgeable and available for emergency visit and calls.
