I went yo dr castillo teo years sgo with a foot swollen like a balloon she sent me to rothman capital health podiatrist no clues no answers no appointments gor weeks meanwhile i cant walk on my foot at all which limits my life and health with no wcercise i rode a wheelchair in to see her that day snd iut tobthe rothman urgent care site well sfter months with the tothman podiatrist no answers mu foot wasnt sny heart issues at least but i couldnt walk finnally totally frustrated i went to snother podiatrist who got me sn mri yold me i have a bone bruise and i better rest elevate and ice for months which i could have been doing two years ago eithout sll thevpain ive had simce then the only thing tothman offered was surgery whichni was strongly advised against as limiting my movement and mobility even more Dr c feels competant to disgnose a uti eith a positive lab test but nothing else She refers you to capital health dpevialists who have no appointments gor weeks or months and you never get snswers or helps ive wuit her practice this year eith frustration all th time

I fell into dr castillos practice and have never been helped by her totally frustrated by this experience ive quit her practice and found someone willing to help Two years ago i went to dr castillo with a very swollen foot i couldnt walk without pain so rode a wheelchair in to see her no clues go to the podiatrist at rothman which is all she ever tells me go see a capital health specialist who has no open appointments for weeks or months after seeing the podiatrist weeks later xrays no help the podiatrist didnt even look at my foot which i could nit walk on due to pain limiting my life and health and mobility completely the only recommendation from the rothman podiatrist was surgery which i was strongly advised against by better people as it would likely limit me even more i have always been sent to unavailabe specialists with no answers I wasted months years finally found a great podiatrist who with an mri told me i have a bone bruise rest elevate and ice for months which i could have done two years ago before it got so much worse and i would not have suffered so much pain plus the risk of fracture ive had from no diagnosis for two years She doesnt listen yes she has a hearing problem but she doesnt listen and inly prescribes standard pharmaceuticals like statins and protein pump inhibitors which will hurt you im gone but they keep messaging me im never going back i fiund someone more reasonable and caring

There are not many words to describe how awful she is. Does not listen to patient concerns and is condescending. I would never want someone to go through what I had to. If you need a doctor, never go to this one.

Very caring and competent physician. I never feel rushed and she always makes me feel comfortable and heard. Thank you Dr. Castillo.

A couple years ago I was a patient of Castillo's. If it wasnt for my insurance I'd still definitely go to her. She is straight to the point and doesnt coddle you. If you need a super sensitive doctor who sugar coats the results or says you don't need to lose weight...don't make an appt. With Castillo. I appreciate her bluntness. For the poor reviews on here saying she doesnt listen...this is untrue and a poor assumption. She is partially deaf. She is an excellent diagnostician. I had a sore throat one time and it was something I was just getting over. For some reason she decided to get an ultrasound on my neck/throat. She found nodules on my thyroid. Now I just have to keep an eye on them once a year with an ultrasound. She also ordered my bloodwork and some of my white blood cell count was higher then normal. I went to a specialist to keep an eye on this to make sure there was no underlying condition. After a few months of going my numbers finally normalized. If you have any concerns go to the doctor. If you give her symptoms she will definitely figure out what's going on. Because of Castillo I now know to keep an eye on my thyroid and TSH blood levels to prevent any dangerous issues coming up.

She is so caring and genuine! She spends the time to get to know me and asks me how I am doing and sits and listens to how I'm feeling and doing. I cannot recommend her enough.

dr castillo is one of the most caring mds i'ed ever seen. she is kind and very concerned and listens to everything I say. I saw some other reviews people have left and have to say they must be talking about someone else I have never had a bad experience .

She kept cutting me off and then trying to ask why I was there. I had to even show her, notes that she put into my patient portal. She kept stepping out to get someone. Finally the office manager had to explain all of my issues and what I was trying to tell her from the beginning. I agree with most of these reviews she’s racist and nutty. She doesn’t listen to the patient and does try to make you do unnecessary visits/tests. She is definitely a bad taste for Capital Health, which is a great medical organization.

Dr Castillo might be undiagnosed as a bipolar or severe mental case. If you disagree with or question her, she becomes irate and constantly states "I'm not stupid". She is unprofessional and has something wrong with her. She first appears to he calm, pleasant, and a very friendly person but shortly turns into an angry, crazed, skitzo... I'm not sure why Capital Health keeps her around as she is hurting their image. I hope Dr Castillo finds the psychiatric help she so desperately needs.

I’ve been her patient for a number of years. Dr. Castillo is very pleasant, knowledgeable and thorough. She explains things in ways that you understand never in a condescending manner. She genuinely cares about her patience.
