List of James A. Ware Jr's Reviews
I like Dr. Ware. He's thorough and that's enough for me
Surprised not so many bad reviews here, there are many poor reviews for his main practice, Bucks Mercer Neurology. Had a very bad experience with Dr. Ware and his team. It’s a long story but the short version is that he and his team are stubborn and willfully ignorant in the face of obvious contradictions. They wasted so much of my time and caused me much anxiety. I have sometimes debated filing complaints with state boards and my insurance because they treated me so poorly. Additionally, they do not pick up the office phones reliably and make lots of scheduling errors that’ll suddenly leave you without an appointment for 6 months.
Long story but was subjected to many incorrectly ordered urine drug screenings under threat that my prescriptions would be cancelled if I did not test positive for my prescription because of a state law they insisted about but does not actually exist. Was so bad I debated filing a complaint was state boards and insurance.
Dr Ware himself is kind and well versed The office is very poorly run my apt was canceled. They could not reschedule for 3 months. I waited 6 months between treatments. The office called asked me to come early. I left work at 4, arrived 4:45 for my 5:15 apt. At 6:10 i still had not even on injection. The office is silent and there was one other person in the waiting room. No one apologizes or explains the wait..just nothing. Worst
very unreliable doctor. calls placed to his office in time of need both during and after hours are not returned. I was in the hospital and the hospitalist could not contact him and messages left to him not answered. appointments with him have been cancelled by his office always due to scheduling issues.
this doctor is very unreliable. does not return phone messages and does not visit patients if you are hospitalized. even the hospitalist cannot get him to return phone calls. his hamilton office is not well maintained. very unkempt also very antiquated computer system. in my opinion I would not recommend this neurologist
The office staff was efficient and affable. The Doctor spent an extraordinary amount of time with me. I greatly appreciated that. I felt he was very thorough and had a pleasant manner.
Friendly staff and very knowledgeable clinician - located problem previous neurologist missed after years of being in that practice. Office very thorough and effective!!! Also kind and caring would highly recommend
Dr Ware and his staff are kind, caring people. My wife has been going to him now for 2 years. He listens. I high recommend this practice
Went in for neuropathy, in extreme pain. He gave a med(wasn’t helpful) and told me to get an MRI, staff said they had to wait for him to fill out the paper and would call me in 10 minutes, did not receive a call, so I called back the next day, no answer, no call back. Left voicemail, no callback. Went to the office again, I was assured I’d receive a phone call in 10 minutes, I was lied to. No call. Today I called Yet again, and had to raise my voice to get my pint across, I was told that the script was faxed to the hospital and I just had to call and set up appointment, I called they received no fax, called back an hour later still no fax indicating I had been lied to again. I would not reccomend this place to my worst enemy!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
