The stated goal of Dr Prokurat and Dr Kammerer and their office is “to make every experience truly exceptional”. This office and this surgeon nailed it! From the first call to appointments to surgery to initial recovery to post op… this team is outstanding. Everyone is friendly and professional. Dr Kammerer is punctual, greets you in the waiting room, spends ample time asking and answering questions, assessing, reviewing medical records, and setting up next steps. My patient path took me to many doctors before I met him and he is the best of the best. He is extremely knowledgeable yet explains things in easy to understand language. He demonstrates careful decision making and wisdom when formulating a plan following protocol for my specific condition. Despite a grueling schedule he was present and caring while I was in the hospital. He was reassuring and put my recovery in perspective when I felt as though I was struggling. As a seasoned professional nurse for over 30 years I have interacted with many doctors. I can honestly say Dr. Kammerer is one of a kind and I am grateful he was my surgeon during a very scary time. I’m glad he teamed up with Dr Prokurat!

I had gastric bypass and hernia repair surgery with Dr. Prokurat over 8 years ago and he is by far the most competent and caring surgeon I have ever experienced. I felt completely confident going into the surgery because he took the time to carefully explain everything and answer my questions. His post-surgery care was exceptional and the followup over the years shows he truly cares for each of his patients. I am looking at another possible abdominal surgery (unrelated) and even though I've moved and he is over an hour away now, I wouldn't consider another surgeon.

I was so very happy to have learned about Dr. PROKURAT. Dr. PROKURAT performed a robotic hernia repair on me which turned out to be very complicated and the surgery took over 3 hours. I had to stay in Centra-State Medical Center overnight. Dr. PROKURAT came to see me multiple times before, and after the surgery. He always was patient oriented and would listen to all of my concerns and made me feel at ease. I just had my one week follow up with him and again he was so very personable and spent as much time as was needed to answer any questions that I might have. I would highly recommend Dr. PROKURAT to anyone who was considering Robotic surgery since he is truly a remarkable surgeon and physician. I cannot give him a high enough review and patient recommendations!
