List of Zafar Zamir's Reviews
I went to him with a worsening esophageal condition and multiple underlying health issues and his only advice for 4 months was to keep taking antacids. He NEVER followed up; I had to make all the appointments. I convince him to do an endoscopy where he finds inflammatory growths and a bleeding ulcer. The next call I get from his office is to stay on the antacids and come back AS NEEDED. Went to another doctor and the first words out of her mouth were 'didn't he talk about pre-CANCEROUS Barrett's?' Yes, I would have cancer right now if I kept going to him. Avoid him at all costs.
I would have cancer right now if I didn't change doctors. I had to convince him to do an endoscopy after four months of him giving me antacids and never scheduling a follow up. He found a bleeding ulcer and inflammatory growths but told me, through his staff, to keep taking antacids and come back as needed. The next doctor I saw told me I had a pre-cancerous condition that needed regular monitoring, immediately scheduled a follow-up endoscopy, and is requiring two follow-ups a year. I posted review with similar wording on healthgrades, and will post the same one on every review site I find, to make sure everyone knows to never trust this man.
Have been seeing Dr Zamir for 20 + years. Always listens & is always pleasant. Sometimes it’s hard to get in touch with a person when you call the office (hence the missing 5th star) but he’s great.
Dr. Zamir was friendly, kind, and made sure that I understood what to expect for my colonoscopy. I didn't feel rushed and he listened to me. Thanks, Dr. Zamir!
Dr Zamir is Fantastic. He explains things in layman’s terms so you actually know what, why and how. He is polite, sincere and respectful. Thank you for all you do and for being you ! Your office manager Stacy is the best! She has a very difficult job Keeping up with all the doctors, patients and forms but she does it and does it very well. She is always a pleasure to speak to. At the end of day between the 2 of them I know we are in good hands.
Excellent Dr.Zamir.
I have been a patient of Dr. Zamir for the past ten years and have found him knowledgeable and caring. However, the one big issue I have with this practice is the time it takes to even make the appointment. They DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE but instead rely on you leaving a message so they can return your call at their convenience. This desperately needs to be addressed. They are the only physician's office i call where you do not reach a person. Their reliance on the answering machine is intolerable and if you dare to come to the office to schedule in person, there are certain times that you can do this! Believe me, no one is THAT busy! it borders on ridiculousness!!!! And, when you do leave a message, it's usually a 48 hour window before your call is returned. The appointment lady, Mary, is very rude also. She needs to be addressed or office decorum. if you can tolerate the staff, you will like Dr. Zamir!
Very disappointed, waited an hour to see him and was rushed out. My questions were a nuisance. Scheduling rude and also very rushed. I walked in that door to schedule a colonoscopy not be examined or listened to.
Zamir was very blunt and somewhat rude. He read a report and, appartently, did not read it correctly (read really fast) and told me that I have cancer, when I don't. He also tried to do a colonoscopy less than 4 weeks afer I had diverticulitis. I guess he's in it for the money, not the patien's well-being. I am going to another Dr. Also, had to wait forever (21/2 hours to see the Dr. No appologies given. I should have walked out. Staff talked to me very rudely. Not well trained, either.
Terrible! One of the worst, unprofessional, and unorganized places I've ever been! Made me do a 3 day treatment and basically starved myself for nothing!!! just for 3 inches of snow! like really?!?! WE LIVE IN JERSEY SNOW HAPPENS AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR! In the end the person who was suppose to drive me to my procedure and I both lost a day of work all for 3 inches of snow not to mention the money I spent on prep items is now gone so now I have to spend more money and deal with the stress of starving myself again for my next procedure WITH A DIFFERENT MORE ORGANIZED DOCTOR!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
