List of Peter L Carrazzone's Reviews
I came to see Dr. Carrazzone because of the knee pain. I was seen by diff. doctor before a was prescribed Voltaren gel which did absolutely nothing and pain was getting worse. Dr. Carrazzone is very meticulous, stated that my knee was swollen and hot on touch. I received cortizone shot and in three days I was almost pain free. Now I have no problem with walking a doing things around the house. I am very happy with the results, next time I need doctor I will go to him only.
I would give them negative stars if that was an option. I've been coming here since about 2003 and they get worse every year. This was originally high mountain health and changed to vanguard medical due to a falling out within the company. I moved to Hopatcong from Wayne and the only reason I still came here was because the doctor I saw was really good until she left the practice...I wonder why. I had an appointment today for a prescription refill...I'm still not sure why they can't call it in, but it's likely to charge me and my insurance for an office visit. Anyway this place is approximately an hour away depending on traffic and of course a car had to flip over on route 80, which only left one lane open. I got here about 25 minutes late and was told I need to wait until they see all the other patients!!! I got here about an hour ago and I'm just sitting here watching patients go in one by one. I still have no idea how long I'm going to be here. So two hours in gridlock and possibly several more hours here in the waiting room, and then at least another hour drive back. Is a refilling a prescription supposed to be an all day event!?!?! This will certainly be the last time I come here
I had to wait over an hour to see Peter Carrazzone. His staff asked for a check as soon as I walked in the door. I didn't even have a chance to take off my coat. His staff were unprofessional and uncaring. They acted as if they were doing me a personal favor by taking my money and accepting my insurance. They became nasty when I tried to advocate for myself. When my insurance did not cover something they acted aggressively trying to collect. They got my name wrong repeatedly even though it was right in front of them. They did not know how to process the claim properly then took it out on me.
Always late. Referral policy unlike any other practice. Uncooperative. Bad attitudes throughout practice.
Dr. Carrazzone is a knowledgeable doctor although his entire practice appears to be more worried about collecting money from you then about you getting the proper treatment when needed. That being said I would have to caution anyone wanting to go to this doctor for any reason and maybe he should reread his oath
If I could give zero star rating to High Mountain Health (North Haledon), I would. While the Drs and PAs are average, the staff is absolutely horrible. They show no compassionate and are down right rude. There is zero follow up on their part regarding results; you need to hunt them down for the very thing they promised to do and then get attitude. Forget trying to get on their books, they are always overbooked. Since Dr Carazzone grew his practice to a comprehensive group practice, the service and quality has suffered tremendously. It's all about the business. Getting more patients on the calendar and giving less time with the providers-all to increase their bottom line. I've been a patient for years. Staying on despite the above because it generally was convenient to have different specialties and a lab right down stairs. After the treatment I received today from the receptionist, I am done and will be finding a new primary care physician immediately.
Now days, it is not so easy to find a good service in any field. Dr.Carrazzone is professional and friendly, highly recommended.
I had to change doctors are going to Peter Carrazzone for over twenty years. He is relying on past reputation. His staff is the worst. That has been the one constant the past twenty years. They act like they are doing you a favor by taking your money and accepting their insurance. If you want to see Carrazzone the wait is usually over an hour. High Mountain Health is a horrible group.
Peter Carrazzone WAS a good doctor. I don't think he still is. I was unhappy with the way he performed a procedure. I still have no idea why the area was not shaved. And he did not prescribe anything for pain for what was obviously very uncomfortable. The wait to see Peter is grueling, usually over an hour. The girls who work for him are the worst. They are rude and unprofessional. It has been that way for years. They are especially rude if you owe them a little money. Loan sharks are more caring. I would not recommend High Mountain Health to anyone.
Excellent, wonderful, professional, kind, knowledgeable, doesn't rush, you always feel you have his full, undivided attention. I would highly recommend him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
