felt like my concerns were completely dismissed. they didn’t offer me any good help. would never recommend.
So, here’s my story. I’m a 58-year-old male who has been saddled with lower back issues since my high school sports days. Through physical therapy, anti-inflammatory drugs, and chiropractic care, I was able to maintain myself through college sports and into my early adulthood. However, the issues kept getting worse. I ended up having 3 partial laminectomy discectomies in the 1990’s at the L4-5, S1 levels. These along with lots of tender care and managing my lifestyle got me through about 20+ years. However, the pain got so debilitating that my quality of life was being severely impacted. After much research, and several doctors this led me to Dr. Adam Lipson. When I first met with Dr. Lipson, he suggested a redo of my previous surgeries to manage my pain. After further imaging tests, he determined that because of my degeneration and spondylolisthesis, spinal fusion would be required. I had always been told to avoid fusion at all costs. The surgery he was proposing was a two level Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF) at L4-5 and L5-S1 levels. It’s a similar surgery that Tiger Woods had in 2017. After much research, self-reflection, and discussions with my family I decided to proceed with the surgery. On December 21st, 2022, Dr. Lipson preformed the surgery which he said was very successful. Because of the size of the two cages that were inserted, I grew an inch from the surgery. Initially the nerve pain from the stretched nerves was sever but managed with medications. The back pain was relived immediately from the surgery. The only pain other than the nerve pain was from the incision in my abdomen. After several months of physical therapy to help restore the strength and stability in my left leg which had been caused by years of managing the issue and pain, I have returned to all activities, including playing golf. For someone who was originally against fusion surgery, I am so grateful to Dr. Lipson and his staff. His assessment of my situation and the time he spent with me explaining my condition and the proposed ALIF surgery, directing me to information I could self-research was just awesome. I had the utmost trust in Dr. Lipson, that he was making the best assessment and recommendations for me. As a result of the surgery and my current state of health, I know that I have made the right decision. I can’t say enough positives about Dr. Lipson and his staff. In my opinion they are all outstanding, from first appointment through post-op follow ups. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Lipson, for giving me my quality of life back, I just wish I had found you sooner!!!
I highly recommend this office. Dr.DeMarco was very helpful and patience with my son. He helped us to the next level of treatment. He explained everything about our son. The office staff are wonderful and very helpful. Cosmo Ciappina

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
