Yinggang Zheng's Online Review Report Card

I have chronic low back and leg pain related to spinal stenosis. I had injections for from another doctor with no benefit. I have been under the care of Dr Zheng for nearly 3 years. He has performed 2 epidural injections and 3 facet blocks in that time. I have gotten significant relief from all of the treatments( unfortunately the nature of spinal stenosis in an active person is for pain to recur but I do get several months of relief).

I have been a patient of Dr. Zheng for more than 10 years. I remember my first experience with him was when I was in so much pain I could not bend over, put my socks on or tie my shoes. He did a same day surgery on me at the Nature Spine Center in NJ and I walked out in no pain. Over the years he has made it possible for me to continue working despite having numerous medical issues. For a recent surgery he and his partner, Dr. Shen, took care of several herniated discs and a bone spur. Again, the pain went away. Not only do I trust him with my life, he is very attentive and his bedside manner is so friendly and comforting. In speaking with Dr. Zheng you will find that he is very knowledgeable about many topics. I have recommended him to many people and I will continue to do so. When I hear horrific stories about people enduring pain or being butchered by other surgeons I always count my blessings that I have Dr. Zheng in my corner.

Dr. Zheng has been a God sent. He is the only doctor that has truly and greatly helped me with my chronic pain. His injections are helpful. He also does procedures with very steady, gentle hands. His office staff is always available when 1 need them. It's easy to make an appt with him and he is extremely kind and understanding. I would never see another doctor again. He has been a true blessing. His entire staff as well. So if you are in need of a doctor that knows what he is doing and is caring and understanding, you MUST give Dr. Zheng a try. You will not be disappointed.

I saw Dr. Zheng for a few months. You are nothing short of just a dollar sign for him. He scheduled me for a procedure at a NJ location (meanwhile I see him in Middletown) and was told as I literally checked in that in order to have the procedure I have to pay $1000. Absolutely ridiculous. He was supposed to do 2 follow up procedures to cure my chronic back pain as well as an MRI. He often asked me to pay in cash ($100 each week) and would slide the money in his pocket and never gave me a receipt. He also told me that the next procedure would be $350 cash only. Bedside manner is horrible. No privacy which is against HIPPA bc he leaves people in the waiting room while talking about patients conditions. His plan for me was to see him every 2 weeks for injections (which did not work) and refill my pain medication. All of a sudden, I get a TEXT message that my upcoming appt was canceled randomly and he will no longer treat me. I asked for my medical records for my lawyer as well as for my new doctor and was told I could only get them if my lawyer asks for them which is absolutely absurd. He would put down a whole bunch of things I need to have done such as another MRI and another 2 procedures. I asked him who do I contact to schedule and he said no don't call them, they will call you. He didn't even want me to call my insurance, which was strange, to see why I had to pay for every visit. He runs a shady practice, rushes, no bedside manner and lies. So please be aware and alert if you see this doctor. You can hear him go from room to room with patients in each room with syringes in his hand and the first thing he says is "ok I am giving you shots so bend over". I've spoken to previous patients of his and was told they experienced the same thing. I'm filing a complaint with my insurance against his actions. Patients go to doctors to help be cured and treated, not to be belittled and humiliated by a doctor.

I met Dr. Zheng about 10 months ago. I had very bad back pain that went down my legs causing me to not be able to walk correctly. Dr. Zheng started me with spinal shots which brought much needed relief. Dr. Zheng explained that there was a surgery that he could do to take away my pain . He explained my x-rays and what he would do in the procedure. Dr. Zheng and I developed a plan for the procedure which he expertly accomplished with excellent skill and his leadership of the surgical team. Today I am pain free. I have extreme trust in Dr. Zheng and will recommend him to anyone who is suffering with pain. Dr. Zheng will make you feel better. I will not hesitate to call on Dr. Zheng if the need arises in the future. Dr. Zheng means NO PAIN. Thank You Dr. Zheng

I waited 3 hours for him once, and when I complained that it was painful to sit that long he became angry. I do not recommend this doctor at all. Steer clear.

Excellent He used to see my mother and helped reduce the pain she was in. He currently sees me and has helped reduce my pain significantly. An excellent doctor. Sometimes you have to wait but just what’s normal for a good doctor

If it wasn't for Dr. Zheng the last 6 years of my life would have been complete. unbearable. thanks to his personal attention & concerns about my lower back pain, I was able to sustain a life without pain for a long time. Dr. Zheng was always a phone call away if I was in extreme pain. He always worked around my schedule & I went where ever he needed to have my injections done. Thank you Dr. Zheng for your Personal attention !!

Dr. Zheng literally saved my life. He saw the amount of pain I was in . Recommended some shots and pain blocks and acknowledged my need for surgery. I was coming off an appointment with another Neurosurgeon who told me my MRI warranted no surgery. After his review he found five bulging disks. 2 Bone on Bone. 2 almost bone on bone. I could not walk without a cane. He was a co-surgeon when I had mt disk fusion with Dr. Shen. They did a fantastic job and gacve me a new lease on life. I highly recommend Dr. Zheng. Great compassionate honest and caring professional. Fantastic Dr. I canot thank him enough.
