Dr. Herman doesn’t take the time to provide a thorough examination. A quick listen to the lungs and he hears clear breath sounds when they are far from completely clear. He also doesn’t pay attention to a plan of care that has been established by the collaborative team. If a patient fails oral antibiotics and a particular antibiotic, you don’t just negate both of those facts and switch them back to oral and a proven failed treatment. All it takes is a good chart review and discussion with those who know the patient to be competent in care. This review is from a trained healthcare professional.

David was very caring, honest and direct. He took the time needed to fully explain things to me. I felt he was a very good doctor.

Yo-yo need have your staff learn how to talk to patients calling your office.

DO NOT USE FOR LYMES! He discounted my wife's positive Lyme test and passed her off to a neurologist delaying proper treatment for several weeks and causing further damage. We waited 13 days for the results of a spinal tap, which he should know is only about 40% accurate for a Lymes diagnosis. A PA from his office suggested my wife was depressed and just needed some chicken soup and motivation. An ILADS doctor confirmed Lymes through proper testing.STAY AWAY

DO NOT USE FOR LYMES! This doctor misdiagnosed my wife who is/was suffering from acute Lymes. Find an ILADS doctor. Seemed very nice and helpful but due to misdiagnosis, proper treatment was delayed causing additional damage.

I was very impressed with Dr. Herman. He sat down and talked to me and explained everything and answered all my questions. I felt treated like a human being for the first time in a long 2 year stretch of doctors. No laptop in betweem us. No hand on the door knob ready to leave. I'm so appreciative or his ability to communicate and willingness to do so .

The role of a doctor is to help and the first step is believing that the patient has a problem. Dr. Herman did not take the time and effort to look into my problem and diagnose it rather he dismissed without any research or effort into my problem. Do not go to him if you are looking for a caring, compassionate, and willing doctor. The only thing he knows is off the top of his head and any further research necessary was not taken.

Dr. Herman misdiagnosed me. I had Lyme Disease, tested postive through blood work, and he still insisted to the point of shouting at me that I did not have it. Since Lyme Disease is one of his specialities, he should have been more knowledgable. Six years later I am still going through 4 months at a time of Intra Venous antibiotics to try and cure the LD. All it would have taken was 2-3 weeks of oral antibiotics and I would have been cured.
