List of Antwan Ahad's Reviews
Dr. Ahad is very friendly and professional. Made me feel comfortable and was great at explaining things to me. Also, Rula, the office manager is so great very understanding works around the patient’s schedule.
I went to 4 other neurologists before I found the PERFECT doctor. Yes, perfect is a strong word but, that was my experience. Thank you Dr. Ahad for your professionalism and not giving up on me when I was ready to give up on myself. Staff is awesome!
Dr. Ahad and his staff are absolutely wonderful. I was struggling to get an appointment w a neurologist and my anxiety was growing. They made an appointment available for me on a Saturday! As a new patient. The staff is very friendly and helpful and kind. Dr. Ahad listened to me, my history, and my concerns with great care. I am so happy I found Dr. Ahad and his staff.
I had to book an appointment three months out even though when I got there, and after I got done with my appointment, the doctor had no other patients waiting for him, and the office is as quiet as a mouse. The doctor seems not so understanding and cocky about the situation I had. The doctor also seemed like he just wanted to milk me out of money/time by referring me to his other friends who are different types of doctors for unnecessary matters. Later I found out he tried charging my insurance for extra things to get the most money out of me! I don't recommend anyone going to this doctor. It seems like he wants to waste your time, collect as much insurance money from you, is super unprofessional, unethical, not knowledgeable, and doesn't explain anything. Please see a better neurologist for your needs than this scammer!
First of all,I was told on the phone to just write down medication I was taking. This appeared to show an indifference to the whole thing. I was also told on the phone my insurance coverage was fine. When I asked if the doctor was an Emblem health provider I was assured he was. I made a big trip from Staten Island, paid the round trip tolls, used my car gas and after making a big trip on my time I was told he doesn't accept my plan as payment The secretary showed an indifference to making the appt. She didn't care enough to get her facts straight. In short, she didn't give a damn. The doctor refused to see me unless I paid 250. What ever happened to the the Hippocratic oath. I guess it is not important.
The staff very helpfully & friendly. Dr Ahad is very kind, patient and knowledgeable.
It was scheduled for an EMG and his office staff assured me that he was in Network. And called my insurance company for authorization and I was approved. Later on they told me they charge more for the test and the insurance covers and sent me a bill when I called my insurance company they said, The doctor is soft billing and he is not allowed to do that.
I like him as a neurologist.
After many attempts to call the doctor office and schedule an appointment, they put me on hold for minutes and hung up and called again and they scheduled an appointment for me to see the doctor after a month. On the day of the appointment I went to the doctor office and they gave me the forms to fill out and I put that the cause of the pain that I have is due to an accident that I had. I was walking in the crosswalk and was struck by a car.The doctor refused to see me even though I ensured them that my health insurance is the primary and will pay for the medical bills! This sounds odd, but it happened.I already saw an excellent neurologist and I wanted to see him to get a 2nd opinion. I will never call his office again.
Dr. Ahad has been my doctor for over 10 years and is a very caring and compassionate doctor. He listens, gets to the root of the problem, will send you for tests and/or do testing in his office. He is extremely thorough and helpful. Have referred him to many.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
