Joel Abramowitz's Online Review Report Card

Unlike Corporate America Doctors who have to see patients by quantity and have no sense anymore for patient care! I am proud to write this positive review about Dr Abramowitz. He took his time, asked me a series of historical questions to not only find the source and rule out other misdiagnoses but also to be able to successfully cure my illness! Please note I am not one to write reviews, However, this is well deserved! Thank You Dr Abramowitz and your staff!

Don't waste your time and money! Go to elsewhere!!!

As others have said, one star is generous. It's a shame because I actually liked Dr. Abramowitz himself - he had a nice demeanor and was easy to talk to about very personal issues - but the office is very badly managed, staff is disorganized and apathetic, they work odd hours, and it's really hard to get any kind of decent customer service. First I made a telehealth appointment at least a month in advance, and then he just never called, the appointment came and went without a word from anyone. *I* had to call the office to ask what happened (no one called me) and they told me he had an emergency and then rescheduled me for later in the week, but then that one was cancelled as well the day before or maybe even the day of, I forget. I think he may have had to miss the 3rd try too - all I know is it was ridiculous and it took several attempts. I also have to say that the office staff can be a bit hard to understand and they seemed to have a hard time taking my information down too (even though I do not have any accent or speech impediment). I honestly don't know if that has to do with their grasp of English or their hearing, but it felt like they just weren't paying attention - I had to repeat myself over and over. Finally I was able to see him (virtually), and that went fine, but after I took the blood test (he wasn't there - I never saw him in person - and the office has a very old vibe, like the same stuff has been there since the 80s), I never heard from anyone again. No one called me regarding the results, I had to chase them down almost 2 weeks after I took the test, and even then I never got to speak with the doctor again - I was just told by the office staff that the results were "fine." I got no better explanation than that, those results would indicate something else is going on because it doesn't explain the issues I'm having - so there should have been *some* follow-up, right? Nope, not a word from anyone. Then I was having side effects from one of the medications and needed to talk to the doctor about it, the staff said they would get back to me and never did, so I just stopped taking it. I also needed prior-authorization on another medication he prescribed, and my pharmacy needed the office to speak with my insurance - but they were no help, and I still don't have the medication. Even after I called to make sure they knew approval was hinging on them speaking with my insurance co., they had the nerve to tell me *I* should call my insurance and work on it. How am I going to get my own medication pre-approved? Finally, I needed to send the results of the bloodwork they did to my Endocrinologist just so she could see my hormone levels and avoid me having to go back for more bloodwork, but it took almost 2 weeks, multiple emails and multiple voicemails before I got any help, which is what finally prompted me to write this review. They did eventually call back and fax the results, but the amount of work it took me to make that happen was ridiculous. I have never written a review for any doctor before - that's how disappointing and incompetent this place is. I recommend avoiding - his office staff are a hot mess and I wouldn't feel safe trusting this team with any serious health problems. There is almost zero patient care or customer service or follow up, and now I've lost any faith I had in his diagnosis or test results, so now I'm going to see a new urologist for a second option who costs way more out of pocket. But at this point I am desperate to see a Urologist who takes their job and their patients' health more seriously. It's a shame because there is potential there.

Giving a one star is being kind. This doctor and his office staff is a joke. My 80 year old father went for his appt in Feb and they told us they could not find him in the system and the doctor was not in the office. We booked an appt 5 months later, they called one day before the appt to cancel the appt and told us to call back for an online consultation. When we called, a bunch of other ridiculous things happened. Anyway, don't go there.

I called to make appointment after callimg out of work . they told me they couldnt help because computers were down .. I asked if they can give me a note stating the computers were down so i can show to my employer .. They said they would than changed thier mind making me look like a liar and almost costing me to lose my job .. Terrible service .. Place should be shut down

If there were 0 stars that's what this office would deserve. We had an appointment for 1pm and when we arrived at 12:57, there were 6 people in the waiting room. The TV from the 1980's was blasting and the office staff were having lunch! They did not even acknowledge me at the window. After waiting 15 min I went up again to try & give my insurance info. She took it without saying a word. After 20 more minutes (now 1:45), I asked the lady sitting next to me how long she's been waiting and she said 10am!!!! The other person waiting said 11 am! I went back up to the window & asked if the dr was there and they told me no, he had an emergency this morning. NOT ONE OF US WAS NOTIFIED!!! I will NEVER go there again. Absolutely no respect or courtesy for a patients time. As I see the other reviews are much the same...Stay away!!

Please don't go here. The staff don't know how to give appointment . They give appointment to 4 people at same time . And they lost my blood report . Nobody cares about you there . They just want money . Please don't go here .

The worst customer service Dr. Abramowitz makes you wait for hours to assist you in 5 minutes, he spends more time writing on his laptop than attending to your needs.
