List of John J. Hosay's Reviews
They really know what they are doing. The doctor is fast and thorough and is NOT an alarmist.
Excellent surgeon, wonderful guy. He explained everything so I understood. Fantastic operating room and Doctor's Office personalities. I feel fortunate to have gone to Dr. Hosay for my procedures. Adding this on 5/31/2021... It took me 14 months to get a billing issue resolved with his billing department. The hospital was paid by my insurance immediately, so was the anesthesiologist, but the billing department at Sovereign Urology was a total nightmare. I had to do their job myself. It literally took me 25 phone calls over that 14 months period, some of them being conference calls, to get this fixed. He's a great doctor but I would never go back to him after that.
If I could give this office zero stars I would. This location is not closed as I had an appointment there this morning. I showed up, and was very concerned with the way the receptionist treated all waiting patients. Her name was Gladys. I've been to places that people have had a bad day and may have been curt with a patient but this was beyond rude. An elderly gentleman who just had heart surgery and with his arm in a sling needed some help with his application. Since he spoke broken English and needed help with his forms that I was helping him fill out, he went up to her to ask for his license back, and she literally yelled at him saying "Cant you see I am the only one here, I am not done with it, what do you need it for", but she didnt even give him a chance to explain, and he felt ashamed and went and sat back down beside me. The entire time he was coming back to sit down she was still complaining and making nasty remarks about this patient. Then another elderly woman walks in, politely says I am here for an appointment, and Gladys replies very rudely ok, so sign in-You see I am here by myself so give me a break. (What the heck- really this person is talking like that)Then it was my turn to complete the info and pay my co-pay before being seen. When I walked up and handed her my credit card she said very loudly, we only accept cash, so I responded, well your sign on your window states that you accept amexp, mc and visa, she said well that was before and we no longer accept it. I said I wish someone would have told me this before I came and her response was even louder then before was, well I don't know who you spoke to but I tell everyone and you can just leave and go to the bank! That was the last straw, and I responded, Let me tell you something, I understand people having a bad day but the way you have treated every patient is beyond my belief that you can treat people like this especially the elderly that need help. You are the reason why I am leaving and not coming back to this office.
Simply and eloquently put, horrible service! The staff is extremely rude and unwilling to help their patience's arrive to a proper and timely solution. Had a few horrible experiences in this location. I do not recommend anyone to go to this this private facility. Please guys, conduct your research and get yourself a facility that respects your time, money, and most importantly your person.

I have been going to Doctor Hosay for over 25 years and his Dad before that.Couldn't be in better hands.Acomodating staff.Dr hosays very knowledgeable and personable..Relaxed environment.WR.
Avoid at all costs, runs a mill. Will try to get you in and out of office as quickly as possible. Does not listen to his patients, cut me off while I was listing my symptoms.
My overall experience was excellent. Staff was really friendly. Got my appointment week after I called. Waiting time was normal for any doctor's office. Doctor was very kind and concerned, and knowledgable of my problem. He answered all my questions and scheduled my surgery right away. My surgery went well and I had a follow up appointment a week later. I would highly recommend this doctor!!
Seems to be very nice But if you have an 11am appointment there shouldn't be 20 people waiting in the waiting room area. Not enough seats and people standing and waiting is crazy. People shouldn't be scheduled to ALL come in at the same time. The Dr walks in a little after 12pm (not complaining about that) WAITING IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR OVER THREE HOURS IS RIDICULOUS. I am an 78 years old and that's not right for me to be waiting this amount of time to be seen.
Doctor did not listen to my complaints. Looked at my test results and said everything was fine, yet my issues are left unresolved. Will be visiting another doctor who can address my medical complaints.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
