For me, Dr Patel is an astute & very thorough cardiologist. This specialist is a great communicator and is patient with questions and my concerns . He displays a warmth and caring not always present in this managed care environment.

Dr. Patel performed a catheterization during an MI that saved my life when I was so young I was almost sent away from the hospital with "indigestion." He was the on-call cardiologist and I was lucky he was there. Had I not moved out of the area I would trust him every step of the way.

Alpesh is phenomenal doctor . Office staff is useless . I was given an appointment for stress testing at 10 am , got multiple emails & test messages confirming time & day , I showed up at 9.46 am and was declined test saying my appointment was at 9 am . I showed the emails confirming 10 am appointment . Still they said , they can’t do anything . Waited for almost 6 weeks to get the initial appointment . Ridiculous

Horrible experience. Rude receptionists, send you back if you are late by 2 minutes despite calling and giving them an advanced notice that you are running late because of traffic. Avoid if you can.

Dr. Alpesh Patel was my Dad's Cardiologist before he was mine. He is THE BEST. He is NOT IN IT FOR THE MONEY. He will always tell you when and why something is necessary or unnecessary, when and why you should revisit an issue, what to watch for and what you can do to help and protect yourself and loved ones. The family is welcome to participate at appointments if the patient wishes and he offers his GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT to them as well. His bedside manner is EXEMPLARY because HE TRULY CARES FOR HIS PATIENTS AS WHOLE HUMAN BEINGS not just as the part he specializes in. He ADDRESSES YOUR CONCERNS AND FEARS with knowledge, compassion, and true wisdom. He is FRANK, HONEST, and COMFORTING even in the worst of times. Dr. Patel is the only physician I can TRULY RECOMMEND WITHOUT HESITATION, RESERVATION, OR QUALIFIERS.

Warning! It is my obligation to warn people - Alpesh Patel almost killed my husband at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ! He was careless and hurried and punctured my husband's iliac artery when doing a routine catheterization and he almost bled to death. He had to be rushed in for emergency surgery to find and repair the puncture. The surgeons and cardiologists that we subsequently talked to could not understand why Alpesh Patel went in so low and why he went into the thigh in the first place, instead of the wrist. Patel denied any fault and would not take care of the medical expenses that resulted. Please do NOT go to this doctor. I had to click on 1 star in order to post this.
