List of Skylands Medical Group's Reviews
The receptionist named Nicole in this office is horrible and treats the patients like dirt. She is rude, yells at you, argues with you, and has even hung up on patients that are senior citizens. Nicole is an absolutely horrible reflection on the doctors that work in this practice and I am horrified at the way I was spoken to. We have been patients at this office for over 30 years and this is how we are treated. The receptionists in this office are notoriously rude for absolutely no reason and have been for years, but this behavior by this woman is simply unprofessional, antagonistic, and completely uncalled for. One should not be subjected to rudeness for simply calling to schedule an appointment. I highly suggest asking with whom you are speaking with when you call. If it is Nicole, I recommend asking for a different receptionist.
I thought my appointment would be a good experience considering her “good” reviews but boy was I disappointed. Dr. Shah is very rude. She did not take my concerns seriously and lacked empathy. She brushed off everything I was expressing and wanted to get the consult over with AND I was the ONLY patient in the entire clinic, before and after my consult. I’ve worked in healthcare my entire life and I know there are difficult patients out there. I am definitely not one of them. You shouldn’t even treat difficult patients like that. I do not recommend seeing her.
Dr. Shefali Shah prescribed the wrong COVID-19 medication for my wife causing me to rush my wife to the hospital. After my wife finished taking the meds prescribed, she was feeling worse and worse, I decided to take my wife to see Dr. Shah again to find out what was wrong with her., Dr. Shah ended up prescribing antibiotics for sore throat. my wife didn’t have a sore throat, she was having an allergic reactions to the meds she was prescribed. Hydroxycloroquine and Ivermectin Dr. Failed to notice my wife was having an allergic reaction to the COVID-19 medication., seeing my wife getting worse, I decided to rush her to the hospital. As soon as we got there, the hospital doctor asked “why did our primary physician prescribed this meds? This meds have not been approved for patients to take for COVID” and immediately started treating my wife for the allergic reaction and dehydration Even the Pharmacist asked us to check with Dr. Shah regarding the type of meds as they have not been giving it out to patients. After speaking with the pharmacist we called Dr. Shah and she told us not to listen the the pharmacist because she was the doctor and not him. Had I not reacted in a timely manner this could have resulted in a fatal situation. We feel very disappointed and frustrated with the way Dr. Shah treated my wife. We decided to change doctors.
Dr Damico is beyond amazing!! Very thorough, caring and went above and beyond during an after hours call when I was really sick and needed help. He listens, is patient and all around the absolute BEST Dr I've ever seen, above any Dr or specialist I've ever been to!!! If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would!! His nurse Debbe is very nice as well.
I like the Drs but when I call in, I wait on hold for 10 minutes and the ladies at the front desk are not very pleasant…
They scheduled an appointment for 130 on Friday four days earlier they called and said can't do it have to go at 12:45 so I rescheduled my eye exam at 11:15 only to get a call at 8:45 Friday morning to be told they can't do it have to reschedule for another day I like Dr Damico BUT I THINK IT IS TIME TO LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A NEW DOCTOR I suggest you do the same it's not the first time I've had a problem with them
Amazing Doctors, nurses and receptionists.
I went there once for my annual check up in December 2021 and found the place to be very busy. Some of the receptionists are kind of nasty. I don't plan on going back to this place. Will find another doctor who takes Medicare.
I appreciate the office getting me in the same day I called, but that's the only positive thing I'll say. My appointment was 6:30, I wasn't seen until 7:30. The doctor saw me for maybe two minutes, told me she'd give me medicine but she wanted me to see a specialist since she wasn't sure what infection I have. My insurance requires a referral, so I called the next day with a doctor I picked. It's been three days since this appointment and the referral still isn't complete. When I called, the receptionist told me the nurse has three business days to complete it. How are you going to have a patient with an ongoing issue wait three days to get a referral to a doctor they need to see? The office I work in hands our patient the referral before they leave. It's now going to be the weekend and I will have to wait to be seen for this issue even longer. It was a disappointing experience and I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time here.
I have been going there since I was child. It's a hot mess now. Never appointments available. The nurse practitioner I loved left.. wonder why🧐 the receptionists don't know which way is up or down. If you want anything done you have to fight for it. Absolutely ridiculous. They wouldn't even give me a number to call to complain.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
