I have seen Dr Ellis for years, as have my husband and two kids (now adults), one of whom has strabismus. I think he is an excellent eye doctor and trust his judgment. All of us like him a lot, too. A decade ago, I suddenly started having what seemed to me to be dry eyes. He examined me and noted my eyes were a little bit dry but nothing that would cause the symptoms I described. He thought the problem must be neurological - and he was right.

Dr. Ellis just did husband's cataract surgery. Went from 20/200 to 20/20. Very nice person too.

Dr. Ellis is fantastic. His front office staff is rude and indifferent. I actually only in my life missed one doctor appointment. And even though I wasnt warned, and I called to ask for a reschedule, they still charged me $50 for a missed appointment. I missed because of a death. It just wasn't handled right. I'll never go back. I heard similar stories from 2 other people. The front office is a reflection of the Dr's mentality and if money is #1 that is fine. I just don't have to go there.

This place has a zero tolerance cancellation policy. The good - the Dr was nice. What I expect from a physician. Accurate care, clear explanations. I called on the morning of an emergency, as soon as I could. I apologized and immediately rescheduled, the woman said no problem. I never was given a warning or a fee notice at any time. A week later, a bill dated the day after my appointment arrived. A $50 missed appointment fee in the mail! I called you and told you in person, but you send me a letter? Spoke with staff and the woman remarked about how they send habitual offenders bills. I told her I never missed an appointment before, in fact I was only there one time in my whole life. I was instructed to call back and speak to an office manager. No. This is when I recalled the time I spent trying to fix incorrect billing I went through after the first visit. Ugh. Forgetaboutit. Business lost. There are many places just as good in the area.

Dr. Ellis is the tops. He has an excellent bedside manner and is very thorough. Office is run efficiently and staff are all professional and friendly. Can't say enough about this practice.
