Kevin E. Lukenda's Online Review Report Card

I'm so happy that Dr. Lukenda is my primary care physician, and the office staff are so nice. From the time I checked in upon arrival at the set and agreed time for my appointment at the front desk, the person that greeted me was so pleasant. Shortly after checking in for my appointment, approximately 10 minutes later my name was called, and I was escorted to an examination room for my appointment with Dr. Lukenda. About 3 minutes later Dr. Lukenda came in with a smile and said to me, Hi Nancy it's good to see you, and how are you feeling today. Then the doctor talked with me and made me feel so comfortable, and Dr. Lukenda knew and could see how fragile I was sitting in my wheelchair due to my having severe RA. Dr.Lukenda Is soft spoken and so empathetic in the way he talked with me, and the doctor took his time to thoroughly review all my medications as well as examine my BP, heart sounds, breathing and overall condition. I'm so thankful and so happy to have Dr. Lukenda as my primary care physician.

The best every one works together there

High praise for this caring and sympathetic doctor. First he goes over everything with you including all your medications and symptoms. He’ll ask you a lot of questions and listens closely. He is never in a hurry and also tries to get a picture of how your life is going. He will then go over what he feels you need and prescribe medications or Suggest treatment options. Never feel rushed and have always received excellent results. Highly recommended. In fact my son also is a patient. Most times I feel like I’m visiting my best friend.

***With all due respect to (everyone), "carefully read" my entire post and learn what an accurate, truthful, and detailed review consists of. (With prudent respect to the facts, knowing we don't live in a perfect world) What I have learned and observed over the years as a long-time patient of Dr. Lukenda is that he is a kind man with an authentic old-school bedside manner, empathetic ear and mind-set, who takes the time to observe, listen, and ask the necessary questions to understand any and all of the patient's needs and concerns, to establish the necessary care, and appropriate next steps needed. ** Nobody can ever truthfully dispute that fact **, and if anybody can truthfully and realistically say anything derogatory about Dr. Lukenda's office staff or the management of his medical practice (needs to take a step back and evaluate themself) and their actions. And they most likely made an unrealistic or ridicules requests to the office staff in person or over the phone. I would venture to say with respect that anybody on the phone or walking into the office, (especially) over the past 3 years of (Covid restrictions and death) that felt following the (lifesaving) rules and guidelines set in place by the (CDC) they didn't have to follow the safeguards set in place. (Well, that's wrong and reckless). And then you have a (select few) patients that thinks it's ok to continue to ask for additional prescription refills, without wanting to make a prudent follow-up appointment with the doctor, and (yes) that's not appropriate at all. As well as a person that has no insurance, getting upset that they have to pay for the cost of the office visit up front at the time of service, should know better... **** And any (educated adult) patient that has an appointment that checks-in on-time based on the prior agreed (appointment instructions) at the reception window upon arrival, that has a complaint that they had to, or maybe had to wait 20 or 25 minutes to see the doctor needs to take a breath, and have a little empathetic respect for others, as they will for you. And try to have an educated mind-set to understand and realize (hospital medical emergencies) happen that require the doctor's immediate attention during office hours, as well as some office patients require additional office visit time with the doctor because of medical issues and immediate needs. *With that said. (***NOW I would like to give my honest detailed review***) Dr. Lukenda's primary medical office in Linden NJ is well- established for many years, and Dr. Lukenda is well-respected by his staff, his patients, members of the community, and local school systems, and Dr. Lukenda is well-respected by all members of the medical community. To include mentoring medical students giving them the quality real-time exposure and opportunity to observe a real-time medical practice. Dr. Lukenda has always been a mentor to his staff, patients and medical students in so many ways throughout his dedicated career to medicine and lifework of caring for others. All of my expectations to the highest degree with respect, and quality patient care, and customer service have always been met. The (Linden Family Medical) Office Manager Jeanette not only demonstrates the highest level of quality medical office management and customer satisfaction, but Jeanette is also well respected by the staff, who follow her lead, offering the (RWJBarnabas Health) high standard and level of quality customer care and service with every customer interaction. All of the staff members, and the other office medical associates, along with Maggie the office (Nurse Practitioner), are what makes (Linden Family Medical) not only an asset to all the patients they care for, and the community, but a valued and respected member of (RWJBarnabas Health). I have been under the care of Dr. Lukenda for more than 20 years. He is caring, thorough, gives me time to vent my concerns and answers all my questions. You couldn't ask for a better doctor.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Lukenda for 30 years. He is a wonderful doctor and takes his time to listen to us. Lately the office policies have been changing, and every time I call they no longer do certain things like ... medical clearance... they no longer do the blood work or EKG in the office we have to go out to do this... I can no longer call on behalf of my husband to make his appointments they do not allow this. Every year it is becoming harder and harder to see Dr. Lukenda.

Did lab work asked for a call back to discuss. The RN kept calling me about my lab work. No disrespect to her but she isn’t my provider. I specifically requested to speak the provider but I got the run around. We pay so much for a insurance they’re quick to collect a copay but won’t give a courtesy call after lab work. Will never return

Dr.Kevin Lukenda has been my doctor forever he's patient kind very caring takes him and listen always there very happy with him. Also has very nice staff they always welcome you a big smile they try very happy to keep everyone happy by speeding up appointment time highly recommend dr Lukenda and his staff

Es una oficina terrible en atención! Nunca nunca lo examina o consulta a uno el Dr Lukenda, siempre son enfermeras; y traje papeles de mi workers com para llenar ( muy básicos) y después de 3 semanas NO los habían hecho! No es un Doctor u oficina que yo recomiendo. 👎

Dr Lukenda is not accepting new patients. His nurse practitioner sees new patients. The receptionist seemed annoyed when I clarified that I would not be able to become Dr. Lukenda’s patient.
