Dr. Plakas treated my son in the ER for a broken wrist. He was so great, he explained everything to my husband and I, he answered any questions we had. Most importantly he connected with my Son and made him feel at ease. After the hospital dealing with his office staff for follow up appointments was amazing, they were so friendly and responsive. while we hope not to need an orthopedic after this injury, Dr. Plakas will be our go to if needed. highly recommend

We would move into Dr. Plakas’ office if they allowed us! Dr Plakas is kind, gentle, thoughtful, and incredibly talented. His calm, soft spoken demeanor was very helpful and reassuring in a difficult time for my 10 year old daughter. We felt very confident in Dr. Plakas’ decisions and actions in healing Gemma’s broken arm while taking his time and accessing every part of the break and listening to her concerns and feelings. Truthfully finding Dr. Plakas was a God send for our family and we are so thankful for him! In addition, Sam at the front desk is an angel on Earth! She will move mountains to get the best available scheduling, all while providing every and all documentation needed for school and sports before they even ask! Sam greets you on the phone and in person like a friend, asking about your day and family; she is the cherry on top of the office! Coastal Pediatric Orthopedics has been a dream to work with. Myself, my husband, and my daughter could not recommend Dr. Plakas more - he is a fabulous doctor and person in general. What a wonderful outcome to a stressful situation of your child breaking a bone. I have and will continue to recommend them to any and all families who are in need.

Dr Plakas and his staff are simply the best. After breaking his arm in Jamaica, my son was treated and casted by Dr Plakas. The office staff and Dr are so accommodating and make the stressful process practically seamless. I recommend Dr Plakas to everyone!

Dr. Plakas and his office staff are honestly amazing. My 16 year old broke her fibula over the weekend, and not only did they answer my call on a Saturday, they arranged to see her right away. Dr. Plakas was kind, caring, and gentle, and explained every option to my daughter and me. We really felt that we were making the most informed decisions about her plan of care. Dr. Plakas's office manager went ABOVE and BEYOND for me when I was struggling to get films from a local imaging center (and the radiator on my Jeep had just died, leaving me in a terrible position and unable to drive), and for that I will be forever thankful. No one wants to deal with a child with a broken bone, but if you are in that situation, there is no one better to help you than Dr. Plakas (and his amazing staff).

Dr. Plakas and his team are top-notch in the area. He treated two of my kids and I was very happy with the medical care. He communicated all the steps very well and was compassionate and understanding. I really appreciated that he was not judgmental about the level of activity my kids were engaged in. He listened to their needs and designed treatment to get them back to their sports activities quickly and safely. Everyone on Dr. Plakas' team was very professional, pleasant and responsive. Dr. Plakas called me back within minutes after receiving x-rays. Even after my son's post-surgical recovery, he followed up and gave us feedback which put us at ease. This practice really cares about patients.

Dr. Plakas and his staff are wonderful. About 2 years ago, my 4yr old broke his tibia and Dr. Plakas returned our call at 9pm at night. He came in on a Saturday to cast him. He healed perfectly and was playing sports in 8weeks. We’re back seeing Dr. Plakas for my daughters on going knee injury and he has been great. Highly recommend.
