Turbinate surgeries from ent doctors can cause Empty Nose Syndrome, which damages the nerves in your nose and makes you feel like you're suffocating. Think again before having the surgery.
Dr. Lachman us excellent but very unprofessional to make patients wait 1 hour plus. After he sees patient, he goes up to the front for 5-10 minutes and sits at his computer. He is very thorough but his equipment is vwry antiquated . Today had appointment, called to see if einning on time. Told to come 45 minutes later than appointment and still 2 patients ahead of me! I already have waited 1/2 hour and am on my lunch hour. Veru poor time management! -
I went to ER over weekend with enormous sudden swelling in neck. They gave me antibiotics and recommended ENT follow-up. Even though this practice was booked solid and I was a new patient they fit me in. Dr. Lachman had a kind and competent manner and gave me a thorough exam. I trusted diagnosis. Hopefully this will be cleared up soon. I was happy with this practice and would recommend.
I have never seen a doctor with so much care and compassion for his patients. My daughter had surgery on her nose and he called me several times the next day to check on her progress. What doctor today does that? Once you leave their office you are just a number. Not so with Dr. Lachman. He takes the time to get to know you on a personal level. He is an amazing doctor. His office staff is a pleasure as well. They are gracious and helpful. As I read through the other ratings I am confused by the comments. If the wait time is longer than usual it is because Dr. Lachman takes time with his patients instead of treating them as if they were part of an assembly line. I cannot express enough praise for Dr. Lachman and his office staff.
I was surprised to read anything bad about Dr. Lachman. I've been going to him for over 25 years and he is an excellent ENT, plastic surgeon and human being. My whole family trusts him and has the utmost respect for him. His integrity level is as high as it gets. His diagnoses over the years have been spot on, and he has bailed me out of many illnesses and infections over the years. He has seen me whenever needed, no matter how busy he is and he has addressed every concern I've had, regardless of how big or small. I know his staff as well and they have nothing but good things to say about him.
A large part of a doctor's job is respecting the patient and this includes long wait times and rude staff. The doctor is also responsible for this--its part of the patients overall experience. On many occasions i have waited over an hour and encountered unhelpful/rude staff. I'm taking my business to another ENT because honestly Dr. Lachman and his staff do not treat the patients with basic respect.
Dr. Lachman seemed competent, but clearly rushed and not interested in taking time to explain my son's condition to me. When I asked questions, his answers were short and incomplete -- as if I had to return to additional appointments to get a complete answer. I often left the office bewildered.
Dr. Lachman is very smart, concerned and a good listener. He is very dedicated and was extremely attentive. He performed my sinus surguery and also my nose "job" for lack of more specific words. I am very happy with the work and its been over 5 years. I recently returned to him for an itching ear problem which he immediately took care of when two other doctors in Florida could not.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
