If I could I would give zero stars, this man (Dr. Smith) is absolutely horrible, should not be working in this field, has ZERO bedside manner and zero compassion for patients, especially expectant mothers. He told me very boldly that my son would be a stillborn and that I had to have a C section (completely unnecessary C-section I might add) and while I was so overwhelmed with emotion (obviously) he chuckled and said “why are you crying? We do C sections all the time, you should be grateful you’ll be able to give birth at all” I was STUNNED at the fact he could speak to me that way. I coincidentally met another mother over a year later who had a similar experience, he told her her daughter would be “severely handicapped” and if she decided to keep her “would be a miracle if she made it to 6 months” then when she’d cry every time she left his office, he’d say “I don’t know why you’re crying you’ve already decided to keep her you shouldn’t be asking so many questions” and had her have a C section as well. I KID YOU NOT, Her daughter came out COMPLETELY perfect to the point the entire nurse staff was shocked, being that they were expecting a severely handicapped child. When I reported him to the office, I was told there’s been several complaints made about him. I believe he uses scare tactics to force women to have C sections, which is completely unethical. Disgusting. INVESTIGATE AND PULL HIS LICENSE.

Yes!! He was so caring and so kind!!! Especially with being pregnant during covid, it was so nice to have a doctor who showed so much humanness and approachability. Thank you!

There will never be a man a doctor a friend a kindhearted humanitarian like Dr Leon Smith. I still miss him. He was always there when I needed him. He made me feel special. That’s how he treated everyone. God rest his soul and give him a special place in your kingdom.

Dr. Smith made terrible decisions regarding my high risk pregnancy resulting in my child dying at 37+ weeks in utero. All because he wants to keep the number of induced/c-section births down. He is your definition of a BAD DOCTOR. Even his own colleagues suggested an induced birth due to my child’s condition in utero. His pompous, arrogant attitude along with his lack of empathy and compassion makes him a terrible excuse of a doctor. I urge all women to avoid him at all costs. Avoid the entire unaligned, political based practice.

This Luminary Angel Galen of Infectious Disease Medicine most Noble man, wondrous mind and comforting smile is no longer with us (*12/19/16) and his amazing diagnostic acumen will sorely be missed by Galen's and patients as well! Five Stars were truly not befitting of his enormous talent, he deserved to be rated in Super Nova's, Quasar's and their billions of stars Galactic terminology! Rest In Peace Dear Sir, May we, meet again in Heaven! You will always be loved and remembered by all you touched.

Back in 2011, I suffered excruciating pain in my side and back around the rib cage. I went to the local emergency room and they ran all sorts of tests and found nothing. Even my own GP ordered 2 additional test with the same outcome. I went to Dr. Leon Smith Sr. and he diagnosed me immediately with Shingles even though there were no outward signs. He ran a blood workup and it confirmed his opinion. Dr. Smith is a warm, caring physician who lives to help others live better, healthier lives. If you had more stars to give him, I would credit them all to Dr. Leon Smith, Sr. May God continue to bless him and his family forever. Anne French

This is my second pregnancy and Dr Smith took care of me at NJ Perinatals. Very nice Doctor. Great personality and always has a smile on his face. I wish he could be a regular OB/GYN I would switch to him from the Dr Im seeing now in a heartbeat! Thank you Dr Smith!

Dr. Smith was extremely cocky and spoke down to my husband and I. I felt uneasy with my interactions with him. He often seemed like he hadn't even read my chart before seeing me. I had a difficult pregnancy and was seen in this office up to 2 times a week. He never made a personal connection with me and rushed through our appointments. He incorrectly diagnosed my condition despite the recommendations given by other doctors in the same practice. Dr. Smith had no empathy for my situation, and never followed up with me after the birth of my child. I would not recommend seeing Dr. Smith. I think its time for him to retire.

I love this man....like he was my own family! He is a gentle giant who is beyond genius. He saved my life twice and I owe him everything. There is not a kinder- or wiser- physician practicing today. Long live, Dr. Smith. May God bless him.
