I like Dr.Bassani. He was the only one in my 5+ year journey to get to the bottom of why I’m in immense pain all time and can’t function like a normal guy in his 30s. He diagnosed my pain the first time we met and put into motion his plan for surgery. I kept being denied by BCBSNJ and found out that either through him or his staff, they were not receiving the proper documents they needed to approve the surgery. They told me they had sent multiple requests and heard nothing back. This happened time and time again. I went on authorization trips, paid hundreds through copays and medical bills, only to be denied again and again. I inquired one last time about the situation and was told Dr.Bassani was aware of the situation and would get back to me with a plan of action. This was over 6 months ago. I no longer live in NJ and my pain from my spine continues to worsen. He’s a good guy, and his staff were nice and professional, but this situation has been nothing short of heartbreaking.

Dr. Bassani performed a cranial surgical procedure for an infant in my family that went off without a hitch. He is very informative and empathetic, and when there is an important need, he treats it like one and gets things done very quickly. He genuinely cares about his patients and their families. His office is clean, and his secretarial team is solid. they are polite and get things processed from billing to scheduling appointments without a need for follow-up. I am very happy with his services and highly recommend him. Update: After receiving a huge bill from Morristown Medical Center, where we had our surgery, I recommend that you ask upfront for a cost estimate before choosing a hospital. Dr. Bassani works with Morristown Medical Center or St. Barnabas Hospital. So, he will give you those as your only options. However, the cost at Morristown Medical Center's for an operating room and a recovery room for one day runs about $50,000 WITH insurance - which you will be billed separately for. The cost of the rooms at Morristown was higher than the actual procedure! So, I highly recommend that you ask for a cost estimate before selecting your hospital and any optional procedures. No one will proactively advise you to request this. Bassani is undoubtedly an excellent doctor, so I still rate him 5 stars for his excellent service. It is his just his hospital affiliations that increase the costs of procedures significantly that I am concerned with.

I saw Dr. Bassani last year. He doesn't just treat children. I really like him and I'll be going back for a check-up visit. He didn't rush me, spent time with me, answered all my questions, even suggested I get a second and third opinion! I chose him over all the others! He's defined a 10 ⭐ dr!!!

Dr. Bassani and staff are amazing .. he has a lot of patience to explain everything .. I like the place .. my surgery was great and still treatment .. very good doctor 👍👍

Dr. Bassani is quick to get you in and awesome at making sure the patient (as well as parents) understand all things that are going on in treatment, further studies etc. He takes the time to answer all questions. Not once did I feel rushed.

Very warm and kind physician. Took my newborn to have him review images of an ultrasound of her spine because of a birthmark on her lower back (ruling out tethered cord). His bedside manner is wonderful. Answered all my ridiculous questions and made me feel comfortable.

The Doctor and the staff are amazing.

Dr. Bassani and his extremely knowledgeable and caring team helped my mother clearly understand and care for her cervical fracture after her recent fall. This support has helped her physically and also mentally, in managing her expectations and her spirits. They also quickly put us in contact with an excellent resource who assisted in her getting her a more comfortable and better fitting cervical collar. Our family is grateful to have found the best caregivers at a time when she really needs the help.
