List of Mark E. Gilder's Reviews
Friendly, humorous and caring. He explained everything in detail and fixed the very painful fistula I had with just one surgery.
From my first visit and threw the last surgery for the removal and treatment of rectal tumor, my experience with Dr Guilder was wonderful, even in this difficult circumstance The surgeries went great and were successful in removing all cancer. I will always be great-full to Dr Guilder. He is a excellent DR. I would recommend him even to close family members.
If you are in the unfortunate position of needing surgery, Dr. Gilder is the man to see. Explained everything honestly with me, and my surgery couldn't have gone better. Treats you like a human being. The whole staff is great as well - especially Patricia, who answered all logistical questions I had through the process. Can't recommend Dr. Gilder enough.
The doctor is fine and helpful. Unfortunately, the misinformation and poor attitude provided by the receptionist Jessica, becomes a deterrent and especially challenging given the sensitive nature of care required. If there's another receptionist on hand then they should definitely be doing the front line work. When being provided no options for appointments and then incorrect information given to backpedal on that, it becomes a barrier to care that need not be there. Great doctor! Less than ideal receptionist
Dr. Gilder was the nicest and most professional Dr. I have ever seen. He was kind and explained everything step by step. Definitely made the anxiety of the exam a lot less stressful. I would recommend him to anyone in need.
Dr. Gilder was very pleasant and informative during my procedure for hemorrhoid removal. I highly recommend him.
If you are trying to find a colorectal doctor, please do not look any farther. You found him! I am about to celebrate 10 years NED because of Dr. Gilder. When diagnosed with Stage IIIa colon cancer at the age of 41, he performed a sub-total colectomy. Was out of the hospital in 2.5 days. Other than what is to be expected post-surgery, I have lived a vibrant, healthy, active life because of Dr. Gilder (and my entire medical team). He was so concerned about my family history of Lynch Syndrome that the decision to remove all of my colon was an easy one. I cannot say enough about how kind and caring he is. Best to you!
I meet Dr. Mark Gilder in February of 2019. I was terrified of the procedure I needed. He was very professional and had such a great attitude (it won’t be forgotten). I don’t plan on having to go back however, If I need a colon & rectal Surgeon, Dr. Gilder is the ONE... The facility was clean and his staff was very pleasant.
Dr. Gilder is an amazing doctor who is so kind, informative and has a great sense of humor also. I had colon surgery done and he made me feel so at ease and explained the entire procedure to me start to finish. If you need colon or rectal surgery I would certainly see Dr. Gilder.
I thought Dr. Gilder was both professional and friendly. He explained everything about the procedure I was undergoing beforehand and stopped by my bedside in recovery to go over this findings. I would definitely recommend him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
