Very rude, does not answer questions, does not allow you to ask questions, loves to hear himself talk. Stay away and give him a d as a grade as a doctor! Does not even congratulate you for being pregnant!

I have serious concerns about this provider. I am in the medical field, a doctorally prepared nurse, and as appalled by the impersonal care provided. Recommendations were made for duplicative testing and high risk procedures because he failed to review my full records. When I drew this attention to this he persisted in recommending them and then made me say paperwork saying I was refusing it. The next day his office called me to try and schedule the duplicate care anyway. He also advised me to stop my blood pressure medicine despite giving me a lecture on being high risk for preeclampsia. My Ob told me not to follow any of the recommendations he made because non of them made sense. To make matters worse I just saw what his office build my insurance for - patient education materials (4 sheets of printer paper!?), the gel used during the ultrasound and 'supplies' ( of which I recieved none). I absolutely would not use this office or provider.
After four different doctors, I couldn't be happier finding Doctor Miller. He has been patient and understanding and took the time to go through everything to figure out the problem and not dismiss it like a lot of doctors do. The two ladies at the desk in Tamaqua location are always so friendly and talkative.
Dr. Miller has been my primary care physician since 2007. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is brilliant, kind, funny and deeply compassionate. I strongly recommend him for people of all ages.
I would definetly recommend! Having been going to him for the past 30 years....very polite and sensitive! Don't know what I will do when he retires!
Dr. Miller is the ABSOLUTE BEST DOCTOR I've ever had. My husband was his patient first. I sat in on several appointments, so I knew he was a great doctor from those experiences.

One day, my doctor, in the same office, was out and he was the doctor that was available for me to see urgently. As one of the other reviewers indicated, he asked me questions my other doctor had never asked. It turned out that what my other doctor
had just been treating with a script, was actually more serious. I never scheduled another appointment with her again. If it caused tension in the office, Dr. Miller never let on.

He is extremely thorough. He doesn't just treat the symptoms, he treats the whole person. If I forgot to schedule a follow up, he would have his nurse, Janie (AWESOME), call to remind me to make an appointment for 'x' day and time if I was available. He provides a thorough explanation regarding his course of treatment and why he's taking a certain approach.

I could go on and on about Dr. Miller. If I was still living in the Chicagoland area, he'd still be my primary physician. He definitely ruined me for other doctors. FYI -- I saw a different doctor in the office for my paps, etc., because I prefer to see a ob/gyn for those matters. However, Dr. Miller always reminded me when I had my physical with him to schedule that and my mammogram. Then, he'd follow up regarding the results in my next visit.

Dr. Miller was great--he took a ton of time with me at my annual physical checkup and had a quite lovely, unthreatening bedside manner. He seems to be great with follow-up too--I took a chance and sent him an email through Northwestern's online dr/patient communication network, not really expecting a same-day response, but apparently these physicians really do use the online communication system (hooray! internet and no phone-holding!), he wrote back in a few hours. AND he gave me an electronic prescription I sent to the pharmacy without ever picking up the phone.

Anyway, technology aside, an excellent PCP.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
