Shari Summers's Online Review Report Card

My children have used Dr. Summers for over 30 years. Whether a scheduled visit or an emergency, Dr Shari always goes above and beyond! I have a special-needs child who she continues to care for. Her patience, ability to diagnose, and conservative practice is so very appreciated!! Her kindness and generosity has never wavered through the years! There is no one better!!

Shari Summers is an unethical dentist who fills healthy teeth. I took my children for second and third opinions after “Dr.” Summers diagnosed 6 cavities. The other dentists couldn’t find a single one. She was eager to permanently maim their adult teeth for profit. I have a dentist in the family who confidentiality told me that Shari Summers has a reputation in the area of unethical dentistry and that former assistants have considered lodging board complaints against her. Her office may claim that I’m not a patient, and that is true. My kids (who have a different last name) were. I waited more than 7 years to post this, as dental records only need to be kept for 7 years. My children don’t need backlash in the community from her or her office. She also over recommends general anesthesia/sedation. This exposes children to unnecessary risk and then will dentist shame parents who question her. If she or her office denies that she does these things - it would be a relief. If she was doing this knowingly it would be so much worse. Stay away.

Dr Shari and her team are wonderful. I used to be a patient and now my kids are. They are warm and caring and kind and always do their best to get us an appointment that works with our schedule. The office is always impeccably clean and they are taking COVID precautions seriously and handling them well.

I never leave reviews but this was the WORST customer service I have ever received. As a patient of dr sommers as a child I was excited to bring my kids there. We were two minutes late abs didn’t have proper forms filled out (I did not know they needed to be) I asked if I could please fill our while I was waiting. My 8 and 4 year old were turned away at the door. My 8 year old left saying I don’t want to go to this dentist they seem mean! Rudest front desk staff I have ever dealt with

My boys absolutely has one of their best dental experiences ever . Then again what kid wouldn’t love the friendly staff and watching TVs on the ceiling ! Definitely recommend!!

The Best Ever! My kids have been patients for years. Started when they were so small that they would not even sit in the chair by themselves. We have had cleanings, a few fillings here and there and some extractions for orthodontics. All visits have been great. Love the doctors, love the hygienists and the front desk staff is very helpful with insurance submissions. I could not imagine taking my kids anywhere else.

Have been coming here for years & my children have always had a good experience! The doctor & hygienist are great and the front staff has always been accomodating with appointments. Will continue here as long as I can!!.

All my children have been patients of Dr. Shari's for years. Even after she was considered to be too old for a pediatric dentist, my oldest child continued to go to Dr. Shari because she felt comfortable and at ease with her and her nurturing staff. In addition to semi-annual preventative care, Dr. Shari has extracted teeth and filled cavities--all with the utmost care and gentleness. She has also recognized when there is a need to refer them to dental specialists for orthodontia and oral surgery.

Dentist shamed me as a parent and then told me she need to put my 3 yr old under anesthesia in her office for a procedure. She also put my 3 yr old (a sweet, calm little girl) in a restraint without warning or asking me. Be verg weary of any dentist willing to put a 3 yr old under in their office (and not a hospital).

Could not have asked for a more caring dentist; Great with the kids, great with the parents. Front desk very helpful and friendly. All the hygienists are fabulous. Love this place.
