List of Matthew J. Davis's Reviews
I have a history of sleep issues as well as neurological events that have impacted my cognitive and executive function. Dr. Davis took the lead on my sleep issues and provided some assistance with the neurological issues, and when help was needed beyond his expertise, he referred me to others that were helpful.
I’ve been treating with Dr. Davis for many years I would highly recommend him. He is very knowledgeable and takes time to actually listen to your concerns especially about your medical condition.
The experience that I've had with this office has been appalling. TLDR; Dr. Davis' bedside manner is not great and his office staff are all rude, miserable and unhelpful. I've never experienced ANYTHING like this, but people who work at a neurologists office should be kinder. I would ONLY recommend this place as a very last resort in a life or death situation. Having to go to a neurologist is stressful enough, you don't need the added stress of dealing with the types of people who work here. The people on his payroll aren't in this field to help you or make things easier on you. I will be finding my mother a new Dr. If it weren't for the awful people that work in the office there, I may have stuck it out for longer and dealt with the bedside manner issue of the Dr., but unless they fire everyone and hire kinder, more helpful, more capable staff, I will never go back there again. -------- More Context: My mom is suffering from dementia/alzheimers at the early age of 62. The bedside manner of the Dr. himself needs work. During appointments, there is some disregard for the patient's feelings and insensitivity on his part when relaying difficult and upsetting news. Further, his ENTIRE office staff is awful. They are rude and nasty. I had an appointment scheduled for 11:20 (the time I was told to wait by the phone) as the doctor would be calling within 10 minutes from that time. At 11:55 I called to see why my mom and her care aid hadn't received the phone call. As you can imagine, waiting this length of time is extremely difficult for someone with high anxiety who has this disease. Dr. Davis has never been on time for our facetime appointments. He finally called at around 12; the aid and my mom could see and hear him, but apparently his connection was choppy so he hung up. My moms aide provided the office with her number, but they never called back. When I called the office to inquire, and also mention the poor experience we had due to the long wait time, I was met with a very rude, very angry, very defensive receptionist/office admin. She proceeded to blame me for not calling in the day prior with a phone number (In reality, I had spoken to someone 2 days prior and provided a phone number then - how else does she think the dr was able to call to begin with?), she LIED and said noone picked up when the dr called and that he called 4 times. My mom, uncle and mom's home aid were all standing there when the dr called - they heard and saw him on facetime. They waited for his next call and never received it. This is a Neurology practice! Where is the bedside manner? Where are the nice, capable office admins? There is no excuse for this behavior.
Great doctor. Office staff tedious but once through them he’s great
Dr. Davis has been everything any patient could ask for as a thorough, professional, and open minded Doctor. He is willing to listen, and always gives you the feeling that he understands you and that he is on your side from a judgement free place, even when you feel the world is collapsing around you. I've been seeing him for years for help with treating my difficult case of Narcolepsy Type 2 and sleep apnea, and after following the proper steps and patience with treatments, Dr. Davis has been everything beyond excellent!
While Dr. Davis is a good Dr, his assistant, Carol is rude, lacks compassion and should retire because she exhibits unprofessionalism and is insensitive to the needs of his patients.
Dr. Davis took a thorough analysis of my issue and showed a genuine concern for what I was going through. Himself, Carol in administration and the rest of the doctors staff were extremely helpful and a pleasure to be around!
I was diagnosed with epilepsy. The first doctor I went to was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I met with doctor Davis and it was the most informative visit ever. 5 years later my epilepsy is almost 100% under control. Dr. Davis is a doctor you can always get in touch with, and he always returns your calls. It's never been a problem with getting test results, and he always gives a courtesy call. Even if it's just to say everything looks good. His secretary Carol is AMAZING!!! I actually look forward to going to see Dr. Davis He treats you like a friend, and Carol's warm smile is a nice way to end the visit. I would give 10 stars
I would give him "0 stars" If I could.
My review, as displayed, should have registered five stars -- not one.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
