List of Paul Gennaro's Reviews
Not very impressed magor chip on his shoulder. Never again
I was 13 minutes late for my sons appointment and they canceled me .mind you I called 45 minutes ahead of time to tell them I would be 15 minutes late .very self-centered people .he won’t be in practice long ,staff has terrible attitudes
Dr. Gennaro is wonderful been seeing him for years. He was able to get me to a place that's normal. I can enjoy life and support my family. Very personable.
If I could give this “doctor” and office zeros stars I would...My boyfriend has had an undiagnosed chronic illness and has seen over 100 doctors in the past two years and “Dr.” Gennaro is by the WORST one to date. His bedside manner is atrocious and quite frankly the man could care less about my boyfriends health. When he broke out in a rash from a medication he was prescribed by “Dr.” Gennaro, he called to follow up and was told, “rashes aren’t really in my area of expertise” and sent him on his way...mind you rashes that occurs after this medication is taken are extremely harmful and can lead to further complications and long term side effect, but again...not his area of expertise. I’m unsure if this man actually cares to help patients or just collects checks. He sent my boyfriend to get blood work done to check the levels of this medication and then went on vacation, never reviewed the results and will not send them over to another doctors office for them to review as his symptoms are getting worse. He refused to add additional blood testing despite the recommendation of a number of other heath professionals and was told he would only check for what he wanted. Another one of his doctors had a phone conversation with him and relied to us how uncomfortable “Dr.” Gennaro made him feel and told me I need to find a new neurologist because this man refuses to listen to anyone else!! His receptionist Barbara, was the most UNHELPFUL receptionist I have ever come in contact with in over 10 years of customer service. She would never answer calls or follow up with voicemails. I don’t understand how this place is even a functioning practice. It’s a disgrace how they treat patients. “Dr.” Gennaro, you should really take a look at how you are treating your patients or better yet your lack there of...aren’t you a doctor to help people? And not have them leave your office feeling worse and morally defeated? I refuse to let my boyfriend go back to that office for fear that “Dr. Gennaro” lack of care or even medical expertise could further harm his health. This practice is absolutely DISGUSTING and that is a direct reflection of “Dr. Gennaro”
Dr Gennaro diagnosed my father when multiple other doctors, incl another neurologist, could not. Treatment was successful. He has been treating my mother for a number of years and takes great time, asks the right questions and always listens to everything we say. When my mom pressed him to do something more he sent her to another doctor for a second opinion and it was the same. He's kind, patient and a superb doctor!
Not up to date.
Terrible manners and complete disregard for other healthcare providers in the acute setting.
Excellent doctor, took his time with me and answered all my questions, made me very comfortable with my MRI results. Tricia Calak
Went to Columbia Neuro Center in New York and Dr Genaro Diagnosis was right on . I have read other reviews but I feel sometimes we want to hear something different and Dr. Genaro tells what he sees and that is a problem for some. The brightest people sometimes don't have the best people skills - Do you want a great doctor or a friend?? Your choice
My father was in the hospital and underwent days worth of testing by assorted doctors, incl a different neurologist. None could figure the problem out. The primary wanted to send the neurologist back but we asked for a different one. Dr Gennaro walked in (the next day), said "I know exactly what you have and can fix it". He had seen the condition once 20 years earlier. The man is a genius! Now my mother sees him regularly and he is professional, caring and really- you could not find a better neurologist anywhere!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
