List of Steven D. Gronowitz's Reviews
I wish I read some of these reviews before I got my colonoscopy with Dr. Gronowitz. He did my first colonoscopy. Days later, I informed him I had stomach pain and bloating. He immediately got defensive and had no interest in helping me. This was a red flag. So I visited another doctor who soon performed my second colonoscopy. He informed me too much air was left in my colon from the last one. DO NOT trust Gronowitz. And don’t believe the typical fake kiss-up review that will likely follow mine.
I cant say enough how disappointing this experience has been. I was supposed to have a colonoscopy. I get a call almost 5:30 the evening before the procedure telling me it was cancelled because my insurance hasnt authorized it. This was AFTER I was almost done prepping. The next morning, I get a call from the hospital wondering where I was. After trying to call the office for two days after this fiasco…no one has called me back. I decide to call the insurance company…and guess what, the office never submitted any paperwork for the procedure. (Big surprise). Every time you call the office, you can never get an actual person. Horrible, incompetent staff. Worst experience ever!!!!!!
I was given a genisis kit and the requisition was not filled out at all.
Cannot say enough about this group. I would rate them 10 stars. I also found office staff to be great.
This was to be my second colonoscopy. Wait time for the office was only about ten minutes. My consultation visit was relaxed and he answered all my questions and the procedure was scheduled. I happened to be the first that day. The staff was boom boom, checking me in, prepping me, etc. I was wheeled in the room on time and Dr. Gronowitz was there all ready. When I woke up, he came over and told me the results and took another few minutes to answer a question or two I had. I was out of there in no time. Everything went like clockwork. I would give this doctor TEN stars if I could!
Dr. Gronowitz is wonderful, down-to-earth and takes the time to answer all the questions that you have. I walked in nervous about a routine procedure and left feeling like I had nothing to be nervous about.
I'd been putting off a routine colonoscopy for obvious reasons until I finally realized that I was being ridiculous. Once I met Dr. Gronowitz, he took the time to explain the entire procedure, including some of the variables that might occur and how I'd feel afterward. He answered every question that I had. By the time that I left the visit, I regretted not making the appointment sooner. He is my own internist's physician, so I feel confident about his expertise, and meeting him definitely gave me assurance that I'm in good hands. Everything about the experience, from making the initial appointment through the end of the procedure, went perfectly. This is a top-notch professional staff.
A visit to Dr. Gronowitz is a surprisingly relaxed and dignified experience. He's got such a great attitude and demeanor, that you almost forget the nature of your medical issue! Can't recommend him highly enough.
Here is my story...Initialy I saw Dr.Gronovitz 3 weeks ago to beg for help because since the food poisoning/stomach virus I couldn't stop vomiting and had severe stomach pain. That day I already had bloodwork done twice where is showed H.pylori positive. Dr.Gronovitz scheduled endoscopy for following week and sent me home . After the procedure I've been told that everything is ok. I need meds that will calm me down mentally, promised to call in a week and left. He called to say that now I have sucrase deficiency and I'll needs meds the rest of my life which insurance will NOT cover. He mentioned that he is not even sure if this causes my symptoms. The following day I called his office and left a message to call me back because stomach pain was extremely severe. He never called me back so I called again and told front desk girl my situation. Somehow I ended up crying because I was desperate for help. She told me come in a week !!!!!! I lost it.....after getting my Endoscopy results reviewed by my pcp,it clearly showed that I have gastritis and H.pylori!!!!!!!!! I ended up going to urgent care in Bergen Regional Med.Center where doctors were in shock how come i never got anything prescribed for my symptoms. Dr.Gronovits might be a good doctor but PLEASE if you are in pain and need help asap- he is NOT the one you should visit!
Dr. Gronowitz made my experience with having an endoscopy and a colonoscopy a lot easier than anticipated. The staff was just great. It was not nearly as bad as I expected. The pre-colonoscopy "stuff" wasn't great but tolerable. All and all it really wasn't so bad. In fact, I already recommended Dr. Gronowitz to a co-worker.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
