Dr. Antler was recommended to me as a gasto. Dr. many years ago. We are probably talking as many as 15 -18 years ago. Since then he has diagnosed every ailment I have ever had. From prostate cancer, hemochromatosis, to NHL he has become my primary, trusted and most reliable Dr......not to mention the gastro issues I initially and continue to rely on him for. He is kind, understanding, and more knowledgeable than anyone could ever hope for! You will find no better doctor than Dr. Arthur Antler!
I saw Dr. Antler for about 8 months and he had no idea what was wrong with me. He put me on insane amounts of medication until my symptoms became manageable but never diagnosed me or ever knew what was wrong. He believed strongly that I had a physiological disorder and refused to continue to attempt to find out what was wrong with me. I went to a new doctor and he diagnosed me in 20 minuets. I would not recommend him to anyone, I would not want anyone to experience what he put me through.
I’ve been going to Dr Antler for years but needed him recently for a serious diagnosis. He was unresponsive, cold and dismissive.
Dr Antler has been my Dr for over 30 years. TC who gave a review from SADDLE river doesnt understand that Valley Hospital took over his practice and cut his hours.. He always spends a lot of time with people and listens. He saved my life years ago before I was a patient of his,,I called and described unbearable pain He said come right down, and sent me to VALLEY for an Emergency appendectomy. two weeks ago, i called and told him about a problem i was having. He said send a stool sample right now to the lab at VALLRY, A few hurs later,I get a call, "call an ambulance and get to a hospital.........HE CARES and you cannot get a better DR. So TC from SADDLERIVER, you are so wrong
The worse customer service ever!!! they don't care about patients at all!!!
Great Experience. Excellent attention from the staff to the doctor. Very well recommended.
DR ANTLER TAKES THE TIME TO TALK WITH YOU, AND DOESNT RUSH YOU OUT. HE IS A VERY KIND MAN, AND YOU JUST CAN FEEL HE WANTS TO HELP YOU GET BETTER....SOME IRATE PEOPLE BELOW GIES HIM A BAD RATING FOR PUNCTUALITY....BUT BECAUSE HE CARES ABOUT PEOPLE, HE GETS EMERGENCIES WHICH DO COME FIRST. AND ONCE, HE SAVED MY LIFE, WHEN ON A WEDNESDAY ALL OTHER DRS WERE CLOSED, HE SAW ME..AND SENT ME TO VALLEY WITH A BURST APPENDIX..I MIGHT HAVE DIED WITHOUT HIM
I have been trying to work with Dr
I was told my insurance covered a colonoscopy. I was charged $4900! Insurance only covered $1700. I had no idea I would owe anything. This is a huge shock to me.
There is always a long wait (at least 45 min, but usually closer to at least an hour) after your scheduled appointment time, even if you are given the first appointment of the day. Multiplie problems wiith medications- RX sent from office to pharmacy with incorrect information, resulting in me receiving half of the medicine I should have been given. Because of incorrect directions for taking meds, I had to pay for a 3 month supply when amount was just a 45 day supply. Office error caused me to pay 3 times as much for RX than I should have. Also, refill amounts were not correct- next appt with dr is in 6 months, yet medication covers just 3 months. Very frustrating and annoying- lots of work (and extra money out of my pocket) due to careless office errors.
Best of the best, knows his business like.no other. You're in very good hands. Wait sucks but he IS very good
Probably saved my life. Advised me to have my Cardiologist check something with my heart, and sure enough Dr. Antler was right and the Cardiologist was wrong. He is caring and professional! Highly recommend him!!!
From the initial office visit to the actual procedure, everything was so easy. I was apprehensive about having a colonoscopy and put it off for years. A nurse from Valley recommended Dr. Antler and I'm so happy she did. The office staff is very friendly with a good sense of humor to help put you at ease. Dr. Antler is just as friendly and easy to talk to. He doesn't gloss over anything. The procedure, at Valley, was a breeze and I was home by 9:20am. I had the second appointment of the day. I know others that are overdue for a routine colonoscopy and, with no hesitation, I will be recommending Dr. Antler.
Best doctor I ever had. Very smart and caring. The ideal conbination.
Dr. Antler was very personable and friendly. Talked me through all the procedures. Like all other good gastroenterology you'll need patience when you make an appointment, but he is worth the wait. And...his front staff and amazing and efficient. I'm so glad I'm able to add Dr. Antler to my team of specialists.
He just wants to come in let you talk about what's going with you write out as many prescriptions as possible and leave... He gave me a depression medication "to take the edge off" because I said I have very bad pains in my gut and I think it's something worse than an ulcer now. He wants to write a prescription for everything, drugs are not the answer to everything!!!! Tired of doctors like this! And I ended up going to a different doctor and got tested as well with a endoscopy, I had h. Pylori and gastritis even though gastritis has yet to go away after two years, at least I know what I have!!!! And I was also able to get rid of the h. Pylori bacteria!! Forgot to mention you can wait from 45 minutes all the way up to 3 hours I've been in there for literally 3 hours waiting for him once.... Whatever stop reading this and look elsewhere!!! Do yourself a favor bro
Very happy with all my appointments with him.
Excellent on all levels with highly qualified and helpful staff.
I had a problem and they got me in at once. He realized what the problem was after asking me all kinds of questions, and had me get the correct tests fast, that confirmed what I had. He called me at once and told me what to do for follow up. Now I am having surgery for this.
While Dr. Antler is a very qualified and knowledgeable physician, he seems to try to maximize his patient load resulting in little time spent with the patient. Impossible to schedule emergency visits even after hospitalization and continuing issues with no follow up calls even after numerous requests. Perhaps this is a result of his alliance with Valley Health but whatever the reasons for the changes I can no longer recommend Dr. Antler and have begun looking for another specialist.
